So what exactly do they do for Military Appreciation day in Oxnard? We go each year for 2 days, but I dont seem to remember.

It is starting to get a little greedy on their part though. 10 dollar parking for "Smaller," vehicles and 20 for "larger," vehicles during week,,, 20 and 40 on weekends. What a joke.

i found what it gets you, but in reading it it kind of seems like it is for active duty only. If this is the case that is kind of a slap in face to me. Can anyone verif if veterans are included?

This may be my last year. Parking used to be free, not it says 10 dollars for smaller cars and 20 for larger cars during the week. 20 and 40 on weekends. Are you kidding me? So if I bring my suburban I pay twice as much ? It still is a parking spot. It was also free to get in and if you purchsed their cowboys elite membership which was like 20 bucks, you could go anywhere inside... either side of the fields. Now I think it said IF you purchase the elite membership, it only costs you ten dolars to get to either side of the fence. If this is this case, it will be my last training camp. 40 bucks for a training camp parking spot??? ridiculous.

Take an Uber or public transport. You've got options. Complaining about being charged for the laziest thing you can do is well...the laziest thing you can do.

im not driving 5 hours to go to camp to take a bus to get there. I dont do buses at this point in my life unless IM going to a game. Lazy? Im just stating a point of view. At some point, when you feel like you are getting nickled and dimed it gets to a frustration point that just makes you not want to go. So like I said, this may be the last year.
Thanks for your suggestions.

You gonna drive 5 hours and complain about $20?

Sounds like you are looking for reasons not to go

it may be hard for you to understand, but many things for me are not about the money. My wife and I have done pretty well for ourselves.... 20 bucks wont mean a darn thing for me. That being said, sometimes it is just about the point of things. If I feel like I am being nickled and dimed.....it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
I recently dropped directv after 20 years because of something similar, not only about th emoney, but due to the AT&T merger, they did something that I just got tired of dealing with and dropped them.

Same thing here, charging me twice the amount of someone else to park my vegicle because it is a suburban just leaves a sour tast in my mouth. And I am going, but I wil evaluate after we are done wether or not I will return based upon my experience.

Yeah. Like I said. Looking for a reason.

And don't pretend that your car can fit in a compact spot or can't hold more visitors.

Oh yeah, get a smaller car. Two people don't need a Suburban

WTH dont you get here? I dont need a reason to not go. If I didnt want to go, I just dont go, dont need to make up some reason. So all cars are supposed to be compacts? Im driving from northern Ca, and myself and my daughter will be bringing our golf clubs and push golf carts, so excuse me for needing to either bring my truck or my suburban. Im supposed to apologize and pay moe for not driving some little compact? I have a smaller car, a convertible Miata, but clubs, carts, and bags arent fitting in the Miata.

In ay event, like I said, if I feel like I am being nickled and dimed, this is likely my last year. Dont need to make up some bs for noth going. Ive been going for years for a reason, I enjoy the golf and the camp. That simple.

Dude. I live in NorCal.

If you are 5 hours away from Oxnard you are not in Northern California.
