cmon.... th eguy who hasnt dont jack in the last 3 years.. well, hes been ok. 60,66, and 38 receptions playing with , the guy man y consider to be the greatest thrower of the ball to ever play. Now hes coming to Dallas to play with a guy that , is pretty much accepted as a very avg thrower of the ball, and hes gonna tear up the league this year? Numbers are comparable to Cole. You think Cole's numbers would have been better playing in GB?

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that a HEALTHY Aaron Rodgers is going to make any WR a better player. There is literally no phase of the game where Dak is on par with Rodgers . None.

Bills over pay for players because no one wants to go there.

You really think Beasley is better because he signed for more money haha Cobb is the better and more complete receiver and actually a threat in the return game.

I didn’t say Beasley was better. That was not my quote. I am big time anti Beasley. Cobb is a much better player.[/QUOTE]
My mistake.

In regards to who’s better it Cobb has something left and like he was earlier in his career he’s a better player because he offers actual yards after a catch. And while I dislike the guy for his egotistical attitude as if someone owes him something....Beasley can get open. I’d rather have Cobb at his contract.

Randall Cobb Produces Powerful Potential

How He Got Here:Randall Cobb spent eight seasons in Green Bay, and was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Kentucky. Cobb left Green Bay with a tremendous amount of respect not only from Aaron Rodgers and the Packers fan base, but league-wide. He suffered a hamstring injury in the 2018 season but says he didn’t have any problems throughout offseason workouts.

Bet You Didn’t Know: Cobb holds the second longest kick return in NFL history. He returned a kick for 108 yards his rookie year. He held the record for two years until Cordarelle Patterson broke it in 2013 with a 109-yard return.

Quotable: “Randall’s come here and done a great job. He’s such an example of what a pro is, but he’s also a really good pro. A lot of guys can be pro’s, but when you’re really good on top of it, it just lifts everybody up. That group is really good, and really explosive.” – Quarterback coach, Jon Kitna

Dang I guess I'm the only guy who liked Beasley. I am hanging on to everybody's take on Cobb & starting to believe (hope?) it isn't just hype from his past.

Sometimes I wonder if people even watch football anymore...

You may not like him....But you sure as hell couldn't cover him. We just didn't have a QB that could get him the football...And the dude was as tough as hell. I'm not sold on Cobb replacing him. Won't shock me to see Cobb miss half the year w/ a hamstring injury like he did last year.
Let’s remember this bull**** opinion at the end of the season.

Cobb looked pretty darn washed last season. I'm keeping my hopes up, Cobb is a former QB who understands coverages and how to get open, but the physical part might not be there any more after all his injuries. I get Hurns/Nolan Carroll vibes from this signing.

That being said, Beasley was virtually phased out of the offense by the end of last season with Coop being a beast + Gallup developing + Zeke vacuuming up all the short work. Cobb doesn't have to play a huge role on this offense in order for it to be successful.

Ya know? Our former #11 had some Q.B.background as well, in fact, he had always been on Coach GARRETT'S. " in an absolute vise grip pinch" short list,,,er,,, of warm body's to fieldo_O

I think Beasley will be exposed as a very limited player this season.

Beasley was great but he was a not a big play guy. He was part of the big play issue here in Dallas. But he was good for Dak and he was always available to play. Great slot guy. I would take Cobb, but only if he is healthy. Which he hasn't been for much of his career.

Yes Cobb may be the better "complete receiver" but for our situation and QB, I think I'd rather have a quick get open guy like Beez.
I keep hearing how Cobb can get down the field ect but the thing is, is that a real priority in our O, I mean if not like Dak is throwing for 300 yards a game.

LOL...…...and guys like Beasley were one of the reasons why. Do you know the other big reason why Dak wasn't throwing for a lot of 300 yard games?

Ill give you a hint...………...Troy Aikman

Beasley is a short yardage specialist and yes he was part of the big play issue in Dallas. I like the guy a lot but not sure why people act like he was Adam Thielen.

Cole Beasley, had the best hands in the entire league for passes percentages caught. If Randall can do something after he catches the ball it'll be a phenomenal position. That's all Beasley was lacking the run after catch

Well and his ability to get a lot of separation. He wasn’t scaring anyone teams knew he was primarily gonna he a short route guy .I would have loved beas to stat here but it wasn’t in the cards if Cobb can stay healthy and that’s a big if he’s an upgrade for sure

That said Beasley was hurt plenty he just played through it

I love that. When people dont like a WR, they say he has limited route tree
when they like a guy, he has a trememndous route tree.

IM assuming you watched game film from all of the packer games so you could study Cobbs route running ability on every play? If his route running is so damn good, how vome he has had 1 really good season in his entire career playing with Rodgers?

One good season for Cobb? You have to compare his stats to slot-WRs, not to outside WRs.

Here are Cobbs first 7 seasons compared to Beasley's first 7.

These are scaled to 16 games for equal comparison.
Using per game stats would also make the comparison equal.
