Couldn't believe it. I tried to tune in to Fox and apparently the provider to Direct TV, Nexstar, no longer providing it. I mean, how in the hell do you stop carrying Fox? The majority of the Cowboys games are on Fox, to say nothing of the Super Bowl. Somebody apparently thought it was a good idea to just pull the station, I can't wait till Cowboy Fans in this geo get wind of this. They might burn down the whole damn country, no Joke. Lots of stuff people around here don't agree with but don't screw around with the Cowboys on TV. People round here get UP-SET quick.

Freaking unbelievable, these people...........

Must be regional. My local Fox affiliate and FS1 is still on my DirecTV channel. However, the local CBS channel has been taken off.
If DirecTV snatches Fox off the air, then I might as well cancel DirecTV. I no longer have NFL Sunday Ticket so I may need to look at other options sooner rather than later.

Fees aren't going to be a problem. Direct pulled the Sunday Ticket earlier in the year and now there is no Fox so guess what? There will be no Direct TV in my future. Problem Solved!

It's about greed boys. It's all about greed.

These big broadcasting companies are trying to wring the companies. I remember ESPN used to do this, but they actually got away with charging $6 per month.

The world needs to go ala carte so they can only charge what the ACTUAL customer is willing to pay. This is EXACTLY why I dropped cable TV. I was being forced to pay large sums of money for garbage television that I do not watch.

i'm confused. ATT owns Direct TV now and from what I've heard they don't do the satellite dish anymore. I think it's all universe fiber optics. And you know ATT/Direct TV has paid a ton for the rights to
NFL Sunday Ticket. So if Direct TV doesn't have NFL Sunday Ticket, who does ?

I used to be so addicted to NFL Sunday ticket, but I simply could not deal with Direct TV's continuing rising prices, and no way was I ever going to deal with vampiric ATT in any fashion.
So I completely do the streaming bit, ,,which i'm hearing more and more viewers are turning to nowadays instead of continuing ridiculous cable TV hike rates.

We got off Direct a year ago and went to Direct TV Now streaming as well. I'm thinking it's just time to get of Direct period.

I would expect this big league companies to come to a compass in the next few days- definitelywithin the next few weeks as. - It's football season and NFL preseason games
and a month from now, college football and NFL reg will be on the floor. Those are angry, go getter Niesen ratings for CBS (hell the Cowboys local preseason games will be CBS)

Dish pulled this about 2 years ago. They got the deal done just before the NFL season started. Dish said the local channels wanted to up their fees to broadcast locally and did not want to pass that on to the consumers ( so they said). Eventually it was settle.

I don't have FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, or ESPN and I'm much happier without them. (and their 15-20 minutes of commercials every hour)

TV and Social Media is why so many people have completely screwed up views of life. TV and Social Media make most people nothing more than sheep to moronic and/or terrible ideals.

Turn off your TV and think for yourself!

This is all posturing and it will get resolved because they need each other for survival. ATT's services, between the two companies, has about 28M subscribers and the money is too big to go without CBS and/or Fox and those two nets cannot afford to risk losing any viewers.

The issue for the nets regarding the NFL is the Sunday Ticket. All ATT would have to do it deliver the feed of the home market game and circumvent the nets and all they would need would be a waiver from the NFL and they'd get it. They're not going to allow a broadcast feud to cost them money and all involved know that.

Don't sweat it, these things always get resolved, just big dogs pissing in the other's yard.
