Its bigger than just his teammates. What Leveon Bell did didn't benefit him. It benefited those that come after him. These players have to get it through the owners head that they aren't going to let you run them into the ground and not be properly paid for.It doesn't help the Cowboys but this battle is bigger than the Cowboys.
Nothing is bigger than the Cowboys...

Zeke is doing nothing but hurting the team and the fans.

He’s a selfish POS, and I hope he does get run into the ground with nothing to show for it...

He does which is why he's holding out. He's doing it for those after him just like LEveon Bell before him. Something has to change.
Ya pushing security guards down..shows leadership..Zeke is a great player but even his own father didnt trust him..why he moved to Ohio State to watch bbn over Zeke

CBA negotiations are the time for the players to take care of issues like that.

No one benefited from Bell's situation. He lost put on money, the team most likely missed the playoffs and a superbowl run because of him sitting out, and Zeke isn't benefiting either.

Not to mention Zeke has off the field issues as well as Bell did. There were other reasons why he didnt get a long term deal from Pittsburgh.

If Zeke had a clean image off the field, I'm sure the front office would be wanting to lock him up long term and pay Zeke. But that isn't the case. Because he's not a leader.

I’m sure his father moved to Ohio State because Zeke was a child and wanted to keep him in check. Something a real father does.

Nothing is bigger than the Cowboys? According to who? When Zeke starts to decline and becomes a camp casualty who wants to hear that crap it’s bigger than the Cowboys? It’s a business first and foremost. Screw the team and the fans. As proof by your post you don’t care about him anyway so why should he not look out for himself?

I didn’t say Bell did I said those after him will benefit. And this front office doesn’t care about a clean image. Please. They signed Greg Hardy and didn’t apologize for it.

Let me start by I love Zeke the player. After that Im tired of his BS I know its a business and he has to take care of himself. But for one year can you not be a distraction. Just one year, shut down the rumors before they get as far as they did about not coming to camp, show up on time with your teammates and get to camp. When asked about your contract toe the company line and say its in your agents hands and your not concerned about it. Jones already said he was gonna make him highest paid RB in history, by not showing up this year he has no leg to stand on but beiing a distraction again anyway. If you dont get your deal this year than sit out next year. But if hes gonna show up at camp tomorrow why do we need to hear all this nonsense, show the team and ownership you have gained a little maturity. At this point if Im Jones I actually would think of trading him next year and use that money to keep Byron Jones and sign Jaylon Smith. Also making it easier to keep Dak and Amari. The kid is great but really wish he carried himself better and could get behind him more. He is a tough player to support in my eyes. Dak, Amari, Smith and Jones have all quietly went about their business, you think he would see this but I guess not.

You don’t seem like one.

Screw the team? Screw the fans?

Total contradiction.

Speaking of contradictions

You as a fan, just said that you hope the team runs him into the ground and he has nothing to show for it.

Yet Zeke is supposed to not try to make as much money as he can, because of your feelings?

Doesn’t make much sense either.

To me, this game is a business. Everybody has to treat it as such,” Frederick said. “I hold no hard feelings to anybody that is trying to do that and get the business done and protect their family. So for me, we are out here to work. We are going to work with the guys that we have. That is not a dig at anybody. That is how it works. Guys get hurt and you don’t have them for practice. Guys get sick and you don't have them for practice. And some guys aren't here because they working through some of the business portions. You just deal with what you have.”

Some fans forget this is a business...DAL chewed up Demarco Murray's career and spit him out. Zeke n his representatives would be fool's to not consider any and all options to get him the payday he deserves. Save those loyalty/for the team speeches. Also RBs are trending to a low income position...if the best in the game doesn't change it, no one will.

His teammates aren't tripping so why are fans?

Relax, it's not an official "holdout"...and at worse, barring injury, #21 will be run all over NYG Week 1.

None of what you're saying proves that Zeke is a leader which you originally claimed.

Zeke just wants to get paid early and rightfully so. But in no way has Zeke proven himself as a leader. He's just a freak athlete.

Zeke isn't a leader but he's good. Prescott is a leader but he isn't good.

Just one facet of the business side of football. Nothing to worry about.
