Jerry going around and telling every open mic that we were going to sign Dak, Coop and Zeke. What did he expect? If he doesn't sign these guys it's gonna be a long tension filled season. Zeke gets signed and Dak doesn't, I don't think Dak will be happy and vice versa. He needs to find a way to sign them all before the season. IMO

The only mistake so far was not getting Cooper done ASAP.

The WR market is about to get stupid and Elite WR's really aren't helping teams win Championships anyways.

Dak will be the one that hurts if he gets stupid money but I feel better about it now when listening to Stephen because he mentions giving him a contract that allows them to have good players around him.

zeke's agent , rocky , got jerry between a rock and a hard place .

jerry wont appreciate this .

Jerry may not appreciate it but @Ranching is right in that he and his dopey son have been telling the world their intentions when they didn't have to say anything, and now they'll look like fools if they don't follow through. They can't resist an open mic and just say "we'll do what's in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys."

I think Cooper doesn't care to be locked up ASAP because of that.

He sees that market possibly blowing up over 20mil AAV this offseason or next. Wait a bit till guys exceed OBJ's deal and then ask for a bit more over. Especially if he has another good year here.

Yep if they don't get all 3 done, we will not have to worry about Garrett sucking. It will happen naturally no matter who coaches. :muttley:
But then Jerry has his excuse to keep him around. And say Garrett did a great job without our star players. :banghead:

Most importantly Dak and Zeke. I think Cooper could wait until next year . And he’s one we could potentially Franchise Tag.

I think you also could have gotten Dak for 30 if he got done before Carson. That might no longer be on the table. What happens if Dak has a ho-hum year? He’s probably getting the same extension they’re offering now. But what if Cooper is the missing piece and Dak throws 30tds? His agent could start looking at Russell Wilson money , Aaron Rodgers, Mahomes even.

Maybe so but I’d argue Wentz passing ability and talent level is greater than Daks which would make his contract naturally higher than Daks.

I’d like to see Daks contract closer to Foles around 25 million. And if Dak lights it up in next couple years leading us to a Super Bowl then renegotiate and reward him.

But the real problem is what if he does that through the first 3-4 games and you haven’t signed him yet? Suddenly his Agent wants to wait until after the season, and all this offseason waiting may have cost you 5-10 mil a year. Could you imagine if Dak puts up 35 tds this year? He’ll be the highest paid QB in the world

Since when is two TD's a game all that impressive? Oh, I get it, two TD's a game on average would be an astronomical improvement for Mr. "I can't hit the broadside of a barn".
