Anyone who can see their own interests will act that way, and most do.

Anyone who values their job wouldn't, and most do.

"When a guy loses a GM job, they seldom get another chance at it" - Mark Dominick, former Buccaneers GM.

I don't think his trade value is worth a lot.

A team would be giving up cash and pick(s) for him. Do they even want a bellcow? Do they feel comfortable acquiring a guy that has a 6 game suspension on his record, and just went to talk to Goodell about a small incident in Vegas?

I think the best the team could do would be a 2nd, and maybe a late day 3 pick. and the team acquiring him is probably a playoff bound team beforehand, so that 2nd would be a late one at that.

Elliott is a great RB,but RBs can be found all the time. Hype Elliott up and then make another Blockbuster Type Trade like Hershel Walker if possible. Trade Elliott to some dump like Baltimore or some abyss like Buffalo...Don't sweat it and trade for draft picks. Almost certain we could get atleast 2 1st round picks and possible other picks for him....The Hershel Walker trade got us a Super Bowl Dynasty team...If anything like that can be had GO FOR IT!!!
I just read a contradiction wrapped up in ****.

If Dallas got two 1st then I'd consider it

For two firsts I'd do it in a heartbeat. Any team willing to do that would pay Zeke and everyone would be happy.

Then I'd try to add Ajayi to Morris and the two rookies for this year. If they aren't good enough I've got two extra firsts to do something about it next year.

I think a team would pay more than a first for Zeke. You guys are under valuing him.

Zeke was the 4th overall pick. He is the top RB in the league.

A team who would trade for him is going to be drafting in the bottom half of the round. That’s a cheap price to pay for a top 4 player.

Right now a team like Cleveland who is hungry for success would probably flip one of its good, young backs plus a first for a proven Zeke. That would make Cleveland an instant contender if it’s not already.

Why does everyone want to see Morris on this team. I would rather add Emmitt Smith to this squad and he is probably wearing depends by now.

Who said anything about wanting Morris? My understanding is the Cowboys have already signed him.

It will never happen. But if there's an owner as stupid as Mike Lynn to offer us a Herschel Walker-like trade, I'm all over that.
I like Zeke, but not for 3 1s, 3 2s and 2 3s.
Then I'd fire Jason Garrett and find a young Sean McVay and stay the heck out of his way as he rebuilds the next dynasty like Jimmy Johnson did.

Get them on the phone! If you can get it, we'll take it.

I'll take a first and Duke Johnson in a heartbeat.

Not happening.

Is there a team out there that has never heard of the Walker trade? Are they also on the brink of winning a SB but for a RB? If so, go for it. If not then they'll hang up on us.

I think they would do that in a minute. I don’t think the Cowboys would because of star power.

Chubb might be a more even trade with the 1st. It will be a late first.

Yeah, i don’t think people literally mean a Herschel Walker type of deal. They mean Herschel Walker Lite Trade. At least most do.

I even forgot about Chubb! Between he and Hunt and Johnson, the Browns are stocked at running back and would have no interest in Elliott.

Your words “RBs can be found all the time.” if it’s so easy why would anyone trade a bunch of picks for our RB.
Especially one who is holding out lol.

It's not like Zeke is going to go there and just play. Nobody is going to trade anything of value for Zeke AND the huge contract.

I can't believe that when the Herschel Walker trade was made, there were Cowboys fans and media critics who actually thought it was a BAD trade for the COWBOYS! :omg::rolleyes:

Wait, you say RBs can be found all the time but then say to make a blockbuster, Herschel Walker type trade to a dump team? You guys can't even pick which side of the fence to be on. If RBs are not valuable, then who the heck is going to give up tons of picks? Do you guys even think before making these threads?

That’s the beauty about a message board. People don’t have to be smart or make sense!!!
