Well if you’re going to dream of former players....Tony Dorsett and Herschel Walker are available. If Cooper holds out, let’s get Drew Pearson suited up again.

Demarcus Lawrence paired with Demarcus Ware for one season.

Kinda serious on that one though..hmmm

I'd pay to see it anyway..

Bad deal for us in that that signing may have been a key factor into Kelly's career in Philadelphia derailing. That whole offseason was just bad for you guys.

Kelly had his merits, but I don't think he had any clue how to assemble talent at the pro level. Personnel moves just seemed like jersey collecting
* to the Chippster's credit(,,,er,,,or demerit)his ployed game plan of "playing ball" stems from him having formerly a huge herd of players on the game day roster(90+ I think) constantly in rotation of revved up to redline players running full out,,, it didn't quite work out the same for him in the big boy league of operating around half of that personal wise.

Murray is already signed on to broadcast college football games I believe.

Something like that...but still...that would have been fun to watch in the locker room. Who is the #1 RB? Murray vs Elliott...

I thought once training camp started I wouldn't be shaking my head as much.

Wrong.

I said it last night...one week into this season...And I feel like the wheels have already come off. Everybody complaining about money...screw them....trade them...do what ever you got to do to stop the riots.

I'll say this much...we better get off to a fast start this season...because the 2nd half of the season could be when we see Garrett finally ran out of town if we don't.

He was part of the package to move up for wentz, it was worth it
Wentz has 2 losing seasons in 3 years. I’m glad you paid him and let Foles walk. Foles knew how to run the system and had more support than Wentz in the locker room.

Wentz went 5-6 last year and all we heard was “his supporting cast sucks!” Then Foles stepped in and put that garbage excuse to rest.

1. Murray has a college football broadcasting gig, and he's actually pretty good at it. It's not like Witten leaving a TV job he sucked at, Murray has a future career worth exploring there.
2. Murray left on a sour note with us after we lowballed the heck out of him on our contract offer. He's not going to do us any favors after we ran him into the ground and threw him away.

BTW, here is a clip of Murray on Colin Cowherd, a little before he started TV. Very well spoken.

You never know, the way the Cowboys can aquire talent these days thanks to McCoy and others in the scouting department.

The next Priest Holmes or Arian Foster might already be on the team. What I mean is, let's see what we got during the first few preseason games.

We may already have had a younger version of Morris, a former 6th round pick.

The Cowboys are taking a big chance I think, based upon an affordable signing, that Morris still has what it takes to contribute. He may or may not be that, but at least, he should be a good influence on the young RBs (possibly, including Zeke) that will be his teammates. Whether it's worth it or not, let's see if it works out better than what we otherwise might have had in signing Ajayi. We really do pay a lot of attention to being "frugal," don't we?

Its this narrative that Morris is old and tired, maybe ...But we should give him a chance?

I agree with your post; however, I also think him signing Murray was as much, if not more so, about weakening Dallas than bolstering his own team.
