Bart Scott: "Dak Prescott hasn't even reached Alex Smith's level"

Click bait. There's been several average/ above average QBs who's been SB chsmpions.

By no means am I claiming Plunket was average, but he's a 2x SB champion and he's not in the HOF.

WINS ARE A TEAM STAT

And who handles the ball 95% of the snaps, and hands the ball off, and throws the ball, and runs for first downs and touchdowns?

Who are the highest paid players in the league? Top 11 are all quarterbacks.

Yes wins are a team stat but quarterback is the most important to a winning team...

Nothing but facts spoken from an elite NFL defender in this short clip. Dak is a 20M/yr QB MAX.

This is coming from a player who played 11 years and had a SINGLE season good enough to go to the single pro bowl.and he's acting like he's the greatest linebacker ever. He was such a nobody I barely remember his name.

Dak has won games when the team scored 6 points

Dak has won games when he has thrown for 0 Tds and multiple Interceptions

Dak has lost games when he had good passer ratings

Dak has won games when he had poor passer ratings

Using wins to evaluate a QB is about the dumbest thing someone can do

Honestly, I had never heard of the guy until this thread.

Out of 13 seasons, Smith has played an entire season 3 times.

I'll take who's available.

Even the best quarterbacks to every play the game had flaws. For example, Terry Bradshaw threw 212 touchdowns during his four Super Bowl winning career. Bradshaw also threw 210 interceptions.

Football is a sport where its observers are best served examining why every play and coaching decision in any given game results in a win or loss. Narrow focus on one play and one player rarely showcases an entirely accurate picture.
