Read the statement from his agent. If what he is saying is true, this is the NFL being the stupid NFL again.

Apparently Quinn takes medicine for seizures and it might have tripped the test.

It’s ridiculous if these guys are legitimately taking these types of pills (Tate fertility pills) and being suspended.

Now if it’s not legit, ok. But man. Come on. Seizure medicine? Dude has been in the league 8 years and gets popped NOW??

When will these guys learn you can’t outsmart the system. If it was seizure meds you have to check, check and check again if it will somehow come up as a drug not allowed by NFL.

All you can do is laugh.

So our stacked defensive line, will possibly be without its key cogs to begin the season

Stacked? No. No Quinn, Gregory, Lawrence and possibly Taco. Going to be a M*A*S*H unit out there early.

My question to that is, was it changed for the 8 nfl seasons he’s played??? Or is this a new medicine. If it’s new, I agree with you. If nothings changed it’s bs

The more I read, the more it's clear he got railroaded by the NFL here. He tested positive for a masking agent, not a PED.

The levels in his system were way low and in order for the drug to be an effective masking agent for PEDs, it would have had to have been much, much higher. Quinn's team was able to provide expert testimony, apparently, that backed up this claim as well as the records from the pharmacy that shows the pharmacy filled the masking agent prescription for another customer immediately prior to pulling Quinn's seizure medication.

The attorney also ripped the league's attorney as well in the statement.

What a joke the NFL has become when it comes to this stuff. This is a situation were maybe they should take into account the history of the player here and give him the benefit of the doubt since Quinn, to my knowledge, has never failed a test before in his career.

Read the full statement guys. If we take his agent at his word, it sounds like the pharmacy mixed in some residue of a masking agent not used since the 90s (which is a real drug) into Quinn's regularly taken seizure meds. It was detected at levels FAR beneath what would be functional as a masking agent.

After reading the story this sounds totally preposterous by the NFL and I hope it's appealed or something. This one makes me angry.

Edit - I'm glad @Sydla seems to feel the same way just in above post.

Did I miss what he did?

So how does this work with his injury? Even if he's not healthy, just claim he is and he can sit out the first two games on suspension?

His health is irrelevant unless we IR him.

For fracturing his hand o_O??? I'm really starting to think they're out to get us now:( ... ;)

Lol got damn it!

Seriously I felt fantastic about our chances a month ago. This offseason is dragging now and it feels like things are going the wrong direction.
