Got a rental for a few days while the other car is being worked on and must say that I am very impressed. This coming from a GM guy who has had countless Camaros, Firebirds, even a Chevelle and a GTO. The rental{2018 Mustang} has a 2.3 liter{4 cylinder}engine with what they call Ecoboost which is direct injection turbocharged. The thing puts out 310 HP and 350 ft-lb of torque. It will do 0-60 in about 5.5 secs{my estimation}.

Here.

Had a 03 Mach 1 with a Kenne bell and a 2011 GT500.

The new ones(15+) are much nicer inside and I've kicked around getting one in the past.
The 500 will be out of my price range and the 350 has had some issues that I'm not sure I care to get stuck with.
18+ 5.0's have the 10 speed but also share the block with the F-150 that has had oil consumption issues.

I maybe double down on FCA and endup with a Hellcat charger.

I've always been a Mustang fan, but I could never bring myself to buy one. The main reason was always visibility. It felt like I was looking out of a loophole from miltary pillbox.

If you're not clear what I'm talking about when I say pillbox (a bunker) / loophole. (gun slot)

Today I don't consider buying one because I will only buy all-wheel drive cars / trucks now. I moved up here (NYC area) in 2005 with my truck and when I had to drive while snowing. It was not good. So, all-wheel drive only these days.

Big fan of the older ones, had a ‘66 candy apple red in mint condition in 1988. It was stolen just a few days later :lmao:

That sucks man! I hate car thieves.

Back to topic, never owned one, was always kind of impartial to them, but I absolutely love the new ones. Even the 4-cylinder Ecoboost Mustang intrigues me. I built a few "tuner" cars in my day so I'm familiar with how much power you can squeeze out of a turbo 4-cylinder.

I don’t have any experience with newer models, I am a truck/SUV guy now but the wife got an anniversary edition in 2006. It was a fun little car but we sold it after a couple of years.

I have a Focus ST. It's a fun grocery getter. My dad had a 67 Fastback he fully restored. He sold it a few years back. My wife wanted to disown him, hahaha. It was a beautiful car. Drove like crap, though.

My mother's first car was a yellow 1966 Mustang. My dad totaled it lol.

Oh, I totaled mine too by running into a school bus. My dad got it repaired to mint condition after that. Then of course, stolen a few days later when I finally got it back.
