No pass rush against the Giants?

From everything I've read and heard, Lawrence is right on schedule to play in week one. Reports have indicated that they're just being extra careful and not risking him or Byron Jones getting reinjured in preseason work that neither player has to have.

Demarcus Lawrence might not be ready for Week 1. Robert Quinn is suspended. Randy Gregory is in Siberia. Tyrone Crawford even has an incident hanging over his head.

So our edge rushers against the Giants could be Taco Charlton, Dorrance Armstrong, and Joe Jackson?

Plus, Zeke may be still holding out.

The entire game might be up to Dak against the Giants, except this won't be a meaningless Week 17 game.

That game is looking more losable by the second.

Don't forget Hyder. He might be the best of that backup bunch for now.

If Lawrence misses Week 1, we're obviously not going to be as strong, but I am interested in seeing what these players can do this preseason. Maybe we can find someone who can put consistent pressure on the QB from the right side even without Quinn.

Based on the defense I saw last night, our offense should smoke them with or without Zeke. IIRC, they had the second least amount of pressures or sacks last year and not only are they arguably worse this year on defense, they traded their best pass rusher, lol.

Their offense will be ok but the defense will kill them worse than it did last year when they lost something like 7-8 games in the final 2 minutes.

I fully expect us to start 3-0.

can we wait for the overreaction and /or panic to this say in 4 weeks? hes pushing to come back game 1 and we have other rushers who knows they could step up..i mean all those say hey wwecan replace Zeke no problem but worry about Pass rush..? week one will be heavy dose of SB im not worried about the pass rush as much in this game..maybe Quinn gets his sentence reduced to 1..or none..or just use LBs to blitz a bit more..be creative to get pressure

Our LB corps is probably up there with the best in the league too. If they blitz Jaylon our pass rush will be fine.

One thing working in our favor is that the Giants WR group will be very thin. They traded OBJ in the off season, have sustained some injuries during training camp, and Golden Tate is suspended for the first 4 games of the year.

I didnt say it look at the 56 posts on cutting or trading zeke LOL they I meant those I dont agree with but for few gams you can make up for a pass rush with blitzes by LBs and DBs..its short term and im not worried..tank seems dead set on showing up game 1, I bet he does..

hes nursing a shoulder not a leg or knee,

so he can run , do cutting drills etc until he comes off PUP..he played with it TORN, im sure he can step in be close to himself no prob, hes not sissy WR/QB..lol
