Dude’s a gimmick spread read QB in a weak defensive conference.
Rather ruin this season than the next 8 seasons being stuck with Dak at 40 mil per seasonHere's my fear.
This gives Dallas the incentive to let the Zeke thing drag on so Dak can show his "true value" in an offense without Zeke to the world.
That doesn't bode well for a good start.
Perception is reality...
Man, I am glad you aint a Cowboy Fan. Let me see, how can I put this.......?
No, that's wrong.
Let Dak play out his contract and franchise him
When QBs were making 20, anything below 15 was a good deal. And in a world where Dak wants 40, 32 ain’t half bad.
Rather ruin this season than the next 8 seasons being stuck with Dak at 40 mil per season
You are anticipating Dak getting an 8 year, fully guaranteed contract extension?
In five years he'll be asking for $70 million annually. Especially if he makes a couple Pro Bowls as an alternate.
I completely understand any athlete trying to get the most money possible but so many issues with this.
One, he's not an elite QB. He has certain value as THE quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, and with that comes added marketing value for his personal brand. Two, I don't see other NFL teams valuing him as high as we do. It's another situation where the Jones clan is negotiating against themselves. Three, a deal this large is going to cripple this team. Dak may get his money but the caliber of talent around him, especially on defense, is going to deteriorate.
Pay him once he can pass this course
What part? If your franchise QB is making less than a guy most pundits view in the 13-16 range, then your guy has a team friendly deal
