Texans have two ok backs in Lamar Miller and the recently acquired Duke Johnson. Zeke would be for sure an upgrade but at what cost? They already gave up a 3rd or a 4th for Duke.

Dallas would have to pay Clowney a big contract, yet they haven't paid the trio of core offensive players. They also dragged out the D-Law extension and if it wasn't for Law telling Stephen and his agent he wanted to stay then hell he could be on another tag as we speak.

Folks are complaining about paying arguably the best RB in the League due to cap reasons and wanting to be able to sign other players. Yet, would entertain having to pay another $100M contract to a DE?

Ok...

People don't want to pay Zeke because of what a moron he is. Nothing to do with on field production. Why is it so difficult for some of you to comprehend that?

Clowney wants Lawrence money.

I love me having as many edge players as possible but I can't justify two DEs taking up $40MM in cap space. Paying a second DE an elite contract is just a poor use of cap resources just like paying a TB elite money would be.

That may be YOUR reason but it is far from the prevailing one.

Edit: As a point of reference, please see @Sydla post above Roy.

Paying two DEs $40M is soooooooo much better than paying a DE and a RB $35M, correct?

Thanks to a crooked NFL FO and he has been held out in 2 meaningless games. But he has never missed because of injury. Want to try again?

You can make excuses if you'd like.
I don't need to try again, Zeke has missed twice as many games as Clowney the last three seasons. And now there's a chance he'll miss more to start the season.

There's his mishap in college
Then he lifts up a girls shirt on Saint Patty's that he didnt get suspended for
Then he gets in an altercation with a security guard and doesnt get suspended
