The point he's trying to make is... he's going to keep the players he intends on keeping. If they intend on being kept. You can test the market before we set the market.

I believe he is implying that Amari Cooper may be the first to sign and it will be a team friendly deal. He is suggesting that this is what they are trying to do with everyone. Get them to take team friendly deals. He may think Cooper has shown some level of willingness to go first.

Or I am completely wrong :)

He makes the game of football sound so darn complicated , as if HE and he alone has the answers lol...he's a emperor with no clothes and has been for over 20 years. Its embarrassing and sad..

Does anyone have the Rosetta Stone to crack this riddle?

[from a recent ESPN article]

Clearly, Jones would like to get a deal done with at least one of the trio.

"The answer is yes, but I'll repeat it: Would it be better if we can get one of the players done -- and I'm not being trite -- then to not have any done of the ones you're talking about? The answer is yes," Jones said. "What may surprise you is we may come up with one that you haven't been asking about that might make a point in what I'm trying to make."

What riddle? He saying point blank that they may wind up signing a different guy that isn't one of the big 3 we have been talking about.

To me that either means Jones or Jaylon.

Copy,,,,Football Dad merely stated his wish of already having had at least one of his big 3trio
Done already signed/ locked in for dedicated gameplay all ready, , ,er, , , & apparently he's got another player( or possibly a head coach ) he's fixing to land ,,, as that last part is just pure bobber jiggling,,, pretty insightful really:starspin:

That's just word salad to me. I do, however, appreciate some of the translations being presented. The posters here are the best.

* I think it'd be kinda' nifty to have a Ford pinto,,along with one each of AMC's gremlin& pacer rolling crap wagons ,around a 1978 vintage, all herded up on the back 40 ,amongst the horse&green reefer weeds*

I called it last week: They are resigning Byron Jones first and using the contract to send a message to the others. What the message is, I have no idea.

Arkansas hillbilly trying to sound smarter than he is. And failing miserably.
