they gave a 1st rounder away for him to help DAK>>>thats the narrative..dont get it twisted..
Who cares what they gave up. They gave up a 1st rounder to get Roy Williams to help Romo too. In reality they got Roy Williams not a 1st rounder. And in reality they got Amari Cooper. Well worth the investment but you're changing the narrative. You are making ti as if they traded for Cooper knowing what he was. They took a big risk and the player they got wasn't a 1st tier receiver at all. Hell even now he's probably tier 2.

We are ready for that Dakverage QB play.
1) Dak was a monster once we traded for Cooper last year.

2) Funny seeing someone sporting a Dez Bryant avatar pic ripping Dak for being “average.” At least Dak has a job.

I really think he’s going to have a good year... He was a rabbit in the headlights in year two when the OL was banged up and you could see he was feeling pressure coming when it wasn’t there.
That carried over to last season but he seemed to get his confidence back after we got him a better number one target and also Gallup improved as a number 2 receiver.

I know Kitna is supposed to say something like this, but I took it in a different context.

At least at first, I though Kitna was suggesting Dak is ready for it to be week one right now. We still have two more meaningless preseason games to suffer through before things matter.

he didnt attack the first 8 games last year maybe he wasn't ready..3-5 needed to give away a 1st for a WR just to help him.lol

I've been tough on Dak's game, but what we had lined up at WR those first 8 games would have been tough on most QB's in the game today. And several HOF qb's from yesteryear.

Well mind you Cooper wasn't a #1 when he got him. Cooper was actually one of the worst starting receivers in the league before he got traded last season. So its not like they went out and got ODB or Julio Jones or someone. They got a second tier receiver who was playing like the worst receiver in the league. Let's keep the narrative authentic and honest.
And gave up a #1 draft pick for him. We all lucked out on that one so far.

This man is ready to throw for those 180 yards against the Giants.
At most.
Hey! Maybe that Circus Freak LB of theirs can make a tackle, or two!
That would be... AMAZING.

Didn’t Dak and this FO say a WR by committee approach was best for this offense and Dak’s Playing style?

Super fail.

@rocyaice ...Don't bother trying to have a rational conversation with irrational people. What people seem to gloss over is.. had Dallas not traded for an experienced former 1st rd draftee, Wide receiver would have been the pressing need during the draft anyway. AND BTW.. it wasn't a coincidence that, per the pundits, the draft did not have a true #1 WR talent readily available. Atleast not one that scouts considered a lock. Fortunately, our Scouting dept (Will McClay) knew this. It was evident Dallas needed a WR, and they made the trade. An excellent move by the FO. Folks are always ready to throw dirt on FO, yet never give credit when its due..much like a spoiled child.

That said, I disagree with only one point. Yes, I concede that Cooper is a 2nd tier WR, but he's at the top of that tier. If Cooper continues to perform as he did while playing with Dallas last year, he will definitely be considered in 'Top WR' conversations.
