I don't like how these contracts are going with a couple players demanding so much with all of the rest getting so little in comparison. So if Dallas pays Zeke, Dak, & Amari top dollar, how are they going to keep the team together? I am sorry but a team is more important than a single player. If you over pay a player or two or three, the entire team will get weaker as good players leave for FA. This is what happened to the 90's Cowboys for those too young to know. We signed the triplets and a couple players on defense to HUGE deals and had nothing left over for the lunch pale guys who were also good and we had to replace them with jags. I hope the Jones's learn from their earlier version of themselves and pay less per player in order to have a more complete TEAM. The best franchise in all of sports (Patriots) for the past 15 years does this. Why not follow their lead?

You can't really compare across positions though because of the value the league has essentially placed on the various positions.

Elliott is probably a better player than Dak, but because of the nature of the positions, Elliott will never sniff a contract like Dak's.

I understand that, but from a salary cap perspective, if you had me choose the 14 mill to spend between Jaylon and Zeke. I always pick Zeke! and I look for Jaylons replacement....

I have little doubt that Gurley's contract being so far unlike the others has contributed to this not already being done.

It had to have. Gurley's not as good as Elliott, and the deal is two years old already. At the same time, it's an outlier, and Elliott is asking to get his money a year early. That's a lot of moving parts.

Good....hopefully your gut is true I got tickets to a game and I’d prefer if Elliott is there

If not then It’s like going to a graduation my child isn’t attending
Doubt he would play this week if he’s just signed.

That somehow gets lost on people but it is fact. They had a great deal while it lasted and an even better one with the QB but bills come due.

His CAP hit has been top 8 amongst running backs in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

We never had a great deal with Zeke.

Just as they did with Tyron Smith big contract, handing him bonus payouts on his contract and freeing up money to get other players signed

And this contract will be the least of the remaining ones they need to get done i.e. Dak and Amari. Get it done and move on.

Rookie contracts need to be scaled back to 3 years anyways. 4-5 years is way too long in the NFL.

Considering the relative placement in position groups by experts around the league, the only one overhyped is Dak!
That has nothing to do with being under/overestimated. Lol. It's the public's perception vs reality, nothing to do with placement within their position group. That should go without saying, but I guess you needed clarification.

Guess which was rated higher amongst their position by PFF? I'll give you two guesses.

Voted on by their peers - #18 versus ???????

Oh yeah, they don't worry about Dak!

I want this deal done by the end of today.
Greedy wont sign that...he wants #1 $..made that very clear...Dak,Zeke,Amari allowed to go team friendly like Jaylon did..or wait till next year imo
