Zeke will sit.

Only making 3.8 mill in 19.

Can sit and make the 3.8 up in GTD money next deal.

Zeke has all the leverage.
No he doesn’t. If Herry was a vindictive kind of person, Zeke would never play another down in this league. Yes, Jerry can do that. I read s great article on it this morning and it explained every step that Jerry would have to take. Nobody truly gets leverage on Herey as long as he owns the team.

So you wouldn’t make an offer and are willing to let him sit all year? He’s proven to be one of the best backs in the league and deserves to get paid like one. I understand he has two years left on his current deal but look at it from his perspective. If he blows his knee out this year he’ll never get that big contract. The Cowboys were never not going to offer him a new deal. It’s just a matter of both sides getting fair value. It’ll get done and rightfully so.
I don't think anyone saying that at all. This is a fair price and they will come to it. I just think the kid is a knucklehead and I stand by it. The party's not over

Your not paying attention. Nothing the Cowboys have said or done indicates they will pay him more than Gurley. It says the exact opposite. If they were willing to do that, it would have been done already.

It's a negotiation, smart guy

If I was Zeke's Agent I would say NO to this deal.
The only deal on the table is one that makes Zeke the HIGHEST paid HB in the NFL period!
Why you might ask well its pretty simple....he is the BEST HB in the NFL therefore the $$$$ should represent that!
There's a kid in New York that's laughing at this right now. I think there's another one up in New England also

It sounds like this is a fair deal they offered. I wouldn’t budge now and the ball is in Zeke’s court. And yes he is a knucklehead but a very talented one.

Why would I care what there doing in NY or NE right now. All I know is without Zeke in the backfield our offense is non-existent.

Absolutely not should Zeke have been offered such a costly extension with 2 years still left on his current contract. What? Is Zeke the only player who has to worry about blowing out a knee or getting injured this year? Hello, there are currently other key players who's contracts expire after this season who are more important getting extended right now. Zeke could have waited like a good soldier. Instead, he decided to get greedy and hold the team hostage. The team could have managed well with Pollard, Jackson, Weber and the other rbs for now. Now, other players are going to start holding out and try to hold the team hostage for costly pay just like Zeke just did.

I don't mind paying him. I just don't know what the fair prices. And it's not every penny he's asking for

If he has a max 5-6 years of peak performance then the Cowboys are stupid for extending him at all.
He hasn’t played but three years so he has plenty of productive seasons left. He is also a very young player which will factor into his longevity. There are no worries with this contract, but he should be evaluated before signing the next one.

Well you said he's the best back in the league. I just don't agree with that and I'm sure there's other running backs in the league that think he isn't either. But you're right why would you care about anybody else's opinion other than your own I understand that

The franchise has to be smart enough to put in a worn-out injury clause. If they do that I don't care how much they pay him. I don't think Zeke will be the bulk of the offense this season anyways. That would be the smart coaching. I'm looking for Innovation differences. Put it in the quarterbacks hands. Take the eight out of the box. At Prescott can't do it then he shouldn't be here. Personally I think he can handle a load

Hey I understand what you’re saying and a lot of fans feel the same way. But it is what it is. He’s holding out and everyone knows the Cowboys are a better team and have a better chance of winning a SB with him so you either pay him and play without him. It seems the Cowboys aren’t confident that the backs they have can get the job done. If Zeke doesn’t take this offer he can sit all year for all I care.

He's worth every penny and then some bud as our passing game cannot compensate for his loss.
Do you understand me buddy?????

I agree with everything you just said other than. I don't think the Cowboys don't have confidence without Elliott they just know we're a better team with him. It's all about coaching. And that's an entirely different subject

He has no leverage. If he sits this year out...he has to play next year to become a free agent. In addition, Dallas can till his contract and make him play next year for 3.9m.

So Zeke can be stupid.. skip this year....come back and okay next year for 3.9m and still have a year left on his deal.
