Dak Prescott doing contract negotiations the right way, showing what it means to be a Dallas Cowboy

Dak is a leader, and the best way to lead is by example. That means showing up for work despite being the most underpaid player in the entire NFL the past 3 seasons.

He is being paid what his drafting position calls for, so he is not being underpaid. I like that he is in camp but don't like they he believes he should be highest paid QB or paid better than a top 5 QB. Zeke deserves to be paid like a top RB but I don't like the fact that he is holding out and probably should be waiting 1 more year.

What is absurd is that it bothers you to give praise to our franchise QB for actually handling his contract negotiation as a true professional while setting the example as a leader by showing up to work and setting the example to his teammates. At the same time, it's totally absurd to support a spoiled prima donna who holds out and has now made it clear his services are all about the money whether with this team or any other.
The praise for Dak doesn't bother me at all. The agenda behind it does. You're using Dak as a front for something else. It's akin to hiding behind skirts or in this case a jockstrap. Thank you for demonstrating that.

For the record as far as Zeke goes all I have ever argued is that he is within his rights under the CBA to do as he is. I refuse to knock people for doing what they believe is best for them. Besides nobody on the team will live in squalor regardless of who gets paid what.

What agenda? The only agenda here is clearly your hatred for this QB. Not the first time you've shown it either. As for jockstraps, I wouldn't know how it feels to hide behind another man's jockstrap. Thanks for enlightening us. Sick.

You have knocked Zeke over this holdout in multiple threads. That's a fact.

I have never hated on Dak. I have admitted he has room to improve and been critical of his play at times. I have also stated I feel he is the future of the franchise at his postition. That's another fact.

Keep reaching for things that aren't there.

What will their earnings be after their 2nd contract and who will have the better chance at getting a 3rd? This is why Zeke does what he does, plus he'll have a shorter shelf life having taken much, much more of a beating over the years.

Zeke is 24 with 2 years remaining under contract.

Dak has 1 year remaining.

Zeke could have waited until next year to holdout.

It's bad form to try to jump ahead of Dak in term of getting a contract.

Zeke is carrying Dak and the Cowboys offense.

There is no sense in blowing up the cap offering Dak a top 5 QB contract when he is not a top 5 QB.

And Dak is not wise to take the top 5 contract offer.

Reminds me of when the Mavericks offered Nerlens Noel a highly inflated contract and he declined. Now Nerlens earns a fraction of the contract the Mavs offered.

Previous big Zeke supporter here, but not after he's shown his true colors. If that bothers you, too bad. I support players who truly appreciate and want to remain a Cowboy, not a mercenary. Don't want to see my support, skip this thread. Very simple.

Nah. I want you to show me where I hate on Dak. If you can't have the decency to admit you fabricated it and pulled it out your ***.

Well it's obvious you don't know what's fair or not because you want to overpay guys at the expense of the team. How's that fair to the rest of the team? Then when they need to bring in more talent, the money won't be there.
It's not about fair. Get rid of the salary cap and then I don't care what they pay Zeke or any of the rest of them. But as long as there's a salary cap, they can't overpay everybody like you want them to. If you can't understand that, you need to retake grade school math.
What is this, communist China? Everything has to be fair?

Zeke carries Dak? That's not what I have seen time and time again. Leading up to this throw to win the game, Dak had a few nice plays. Where was Zeke? <<click that link, you be the judge.

Maybe he is afraid that another QB will look decent with the first team. He said it himself he wants to take all the snaps probably why he played the end of year meaningless games. Just my thought

Apples and Oranges.

If Zeke goes out there this year, gets injured and plays through the "pain" and has an average year, then the team(s) will think well he's washed up. His contract offers will be vastly lower than had he could of had.
Still a starter but forget getting top cheddar. He's now branded as an used up RB that died by volume carries.

If Dak goes out there, has an average year, he still gets 2 brinks trucks to his house. Either in Dallas or elsewhere.
The NFL is starved for QB talent. He's a starter in the league. Maybe he'll settle for just 30mil a year on average.
I'm seeing what you're saying, and I agree, Zeke is already washed up,and he himself knows it to be true, therefore ,he's employing the ol' " last gasp of the running back gambit" on Football Dad in order to have a comfy mattress stuffed full of $100 bills that he can lay atop of as he crawls off & dies, due to that extremely short span he's been gifted with by the proponents& fan boi sack swingers in his camp,as it is total& complete B.S. ,,,that's dead &stinking up the forum square, ,,when a football fan honestly ask themselves
" runningback "
" benchmark "
" bar to clear"
Just who immediately leaps& springs to the forefront of their football fogged thoughts? That's right the super hero of ground attack hisself: #22,dude yarded out 14 consecutive seasons in the league

*
while that ancient decrepit dinosaur #82 of which you bewailing pukes more than likely deplore is in his 16th season
( nonconsecutive)

*
y'all need to keep yer' dumb$*** in the shallow section of the idiot swimming hole afore y'all drown due to yer' dumbness

lol. I hope not. So far, Kellen Moore has done pretty good for a preseason. It will be interesting to see how more creative and better Kellen can call plays for this offense, compared to the now departed Scott Linehan.

I hope you're right. I can't wait , so far we've seen vanilla preseason plays & thats what i'm based on right now.
... I hope it all changes come regular season .

Opposing Ds gameplan to stop Zeke.

They are not that worried about Dak making them pay even with Cooper.
