Xaviers job was never in jeopardy hes a sold backup and played well when starting.. I imagine he was along term plan maybe for 2020 to move into that job..or if really good a starting job..

It’s not clear whether McGovern would need surgery or attempt to rehab the injury again. He could be placed on injured reserve at Saturday’s final cuts or placed on IR a day later, which would allow him to return later in the season.

Dam! I had this same injury. I tore it lifting weights and I had to go cold turkey at the Gym. I thought well at least I can run on the treadmill but nope. Took like 3 months before I could go back and start lifting again.

I didn't expect this guy to play this year anyways. I am not sure why you draft a guard when 4 out of 5 players on your OL were drafted in the first or second round

BPA. Plus, if Collins leaves next year, can move Williams to tackle, plug in McGovern.

There really isn't another OL on the roster I'd want to keep. They have a really good group of 9. Now 8 without McGovern.
