Cowboys signed Ezekiel Elliott to a six-year, $90 million contract extension.
The deal includes a whopping $50 million guaranteed. Zeke's $15 million annually not only surpasses Todd Gurley's previous league-high mark of $14.375 million per year, it officially makes the 24-year-old Cowboys star the league's highest-paid runner and ties him to Dallas through the 2026 season. Archer reports Elliott will be on the field practicing Wednesday, but there's been no word on any limitations or timeshare as he settles back in post-Cabo holdout. Assuming he's good to go for Sunday, Elliott is a clear-cut top-three fantasy option in Dallas' season opener against the Giants.

This looks like a fair deal considering the length of the contract but I have a feeling that Zeke will be pulling the same **** as soon as 4 to 5 years into the deal when he thinks he is “underpaid”.
5 years into the deal his guarenteed money will be up and he will either be cut or renegotiated. Probably cut

50 guarenteed is the important figure
over the next what 5 years with the Cap going up almost 10 mil a year. Not including the fact that they probably have some escape clauses the Jones boys may not be the best GMs but there far from dumb when it comes to the salary and dollars

How exactly did he cripple the franchise for the next 10 years. Facts only and not hyperbole speculation.

They're not going to be able to afford keeping a good supporting cast. Something will have to give - not enough money to keep the O'line, not enough for defense, wide receiving corps, etc. If they don't win a super bowl right now, this season, they won't be able to compete in the future because the money to keep the talent in place won't be there.
