As others are noting, its a rather cherry picked list. When you add in a few other players, its meaning shifts.
Mahomes 113.3
Watson 103.5

Last year 9 QB's had a rating of 100 or more. Dak actually ranked 14th in the NFL for rating. Its not one of the stats you can point to which makes him an elite QB among his peers.
Yep

14th last season
17th in 2017
4th in 2016

So one really good season and two average ones, yet he is being compared to legends in this game.

Its comical to take this stat seriously

There needs to be a sliding scale factor on QB rating based on when they played.

I bet if you adjusted accordingly it would be about .5-1 point per year.

So , a 90 rating in 2000 might be the same as a 100-105 rating in 2019.

Definitely not apples and apples

Steve Young would be a 110 or even higher in todays world, for example

So how has Dak played since the Amari Cooper trade?

Let’s see if you have even a shred of integrity or honesty inside of you.

Passer ratings mean nothing I care about Completion % & TDP's INT's & Yards Passing take the passer ratings & stick them they mean Sh/t !

You do realize that those are all of the variables that are used to calculate passer rating... Thus if you care about them then by default you care about passer rating.

It all depends on one’s feelings regarding a particular QB.

It works like this...

A QB you like: he gets credit for any SB win; no SB wins, it’s a team thing.

A QB you dislike: any SB wins were team wins; no SB wins and it’s the QB’s fault.
:hammer:

Now to continue reading the rest of the thread and determine if anyone disagrees with this unquestionable fact. :muttley:

It's really about the comparisons with your contemporaries now.
Not comparisons with the past.

Which is why there can be no such thing as the GOAT.

Unfair to compare Brady or Rodgers or Brees to Montana and Elway and Staubach etc.

They simply dont take the punishment they did in the past. Damage to the knees and shoulders and back from the pounding they took every week prevented any chance of playing at a high level well into their thirties.

Is it more reasonable suggesting 'career' passing rating is a fair comparison between an active quarterback and his current contemporaries and an unfair comparison between the player and quarterbacks who played in past eras?

Doesn’t look like Watson will even finish the season. And wait till the season ends before you stick your foot in your mouth about Dak. Again and again and again.

How can anyone be of the mindset that a player that:

1) QB'd his team to 2 Division titles in only 3 seasons

2) appeared in 2 Pro Bowls, has to date never had a losing season

3) with a career QBR in the high 90's, and recently achieved a perfect game score (only 4 others have ever achieved this I believe)

4) Is only 25 years old

5) has h2h victories against several HOF QB's including:

Wilson
Brees
Rodgers
Roethlisberger
Manning

And others more inexplicably higher thought of

Is somehow going to end up in the XFL OR Canada?

How can an adult who presumably went to grade school think that QB winz are an actual thing?

Miserable people who have nowhere else to spread their misery. Their friends and family I’m sure don’t put up with it.

That is truly amazing company for our young QB to be a part. The vitriol he receives from many in his own fan base just boggles my mind. I'm so glad we have him. Now, that he finally has a 21st century OC, those numbers are only going to go straight up.
Not trying to burst anyones bubble, but once there is a little film on him things could change. We will see as the season progresses if Moore can adjust and mix it up.

Gentleman, gentleman..... Our eyes must of lied to us watching Dak make history Sunday against the giants.. We were told here over and over, that dak's ceiling was low and had he had progressed as far as he could go. And I ain't clownin'
