I fault the coaches for taking dak out of rythm early in games. I think he showed his rookie year and the gb playoff game. Let him get into the flow of the game and he’s hard to stop.

Garret and linehan played scared with dak and this offense. He was one of your top playmakers and you took the ball out of his hands.

Things have obviously changed his year. Dak can not only beat u from pocket.... but if he had too he can run the hurry up and “play backyard football”. He can improvise and make plays.... he has control of this offense.

I think he sounds like many on this board. At some point even though you may think he isn't good enough, you have to admit that he just keeps playing solid. Solid may not be flashy but it can be consistently good. The naysayers will come out of the woodwork if he has a bad game or two but for now they have no way to criticize him. Keep it up young man! You are our QB man!
Solid? Did you see that dime he threw on the bomb to Smith? That’s more than solid my friend.

One other thing with dak. I love his mental makeup. I look at guys like Trubisky and he always looks like he’s frustrated and playing scared. Even at his worst dak isn’t fazed.

The media praising him now will be the first to kill him if he has a couple bad games.... but dak is built to withstand the criticism.

That’s a sb winning quality that’s hes always had since day one.

To be fair, Prescott has greatly improved, so I do expect people's perceptions of him to change as well.

No, "to be fair", his numbers were good before. He had better numbers than both of his contemporaries before this season. People like Cowherd just wanted to keep doubting based on his draft position.

To be fair, they can sit back and say they were wrong. That's being fair.

Yeah, sorry Colin! Some people pay attention! You don't get to do this on Dak! You were one of his harshest critics. You don't get to jump on that bandwagon now. Go sit with Pappydog in the corner!
lmao...AWESOME!!! ^^^^You nailed it. **** Colin...you don't get to act as if you been on the Dak train the whole time...SIT DOWN.

DING DING DING. Correct! That's what I wanna hear...people think they can talk down and disrespect Dak in a harsh manner, then when he proves hes elite, they soft peddle backwards as if they more or less thought he was good all along.

Another problem in today’s nfl is people want qbs to be great by end of year 1-2. That’s just not realistic.

Even guys like Brady and Rodgers sat a couple years then we’re very good for one or two before becoming elite.

It’s all about showing improvement.... and dak is trending very high.

Dak is good
Dak has improved
I’m very happy that he has made the strides that he has

I need to see him against a great defense when he is under pressure
@percyhoward had posted some numbers previously that Dak drops off significantly when pressured. Great and elite QBs don’t do that

Let’s see where we are at the end of the year

Yes, they actually do.

Brady lost two super Bowls because he was "significantly pressured". Aaron Rodgers has looked completely pedestrian when his line fails and he gets pressured.

It happens to EVERY QB.

I agree with at least waiting until 5 or 6 games have been played before we say this our new normal.

As Presgoat explained, those stats I uncovered late in 2017 were very specific. They weren't just pressure numbers. They were "any dropback in games with more than a certain amount of pressures" numbers. If you just look at pressured dropbacks, Dak is very good. In fact in 2016-17, he was 2nd to Brady on pressured dropbacks in games when he was pressured less than 40% of the time in the game. Dak's problem was in games when he was pressured more consistently than that (over 40%). In those games, he was terrible -- even when throwing from a clean pocket. "Running from ghosts," as it were. This went back to his college days.

Last year, after the first few games, there was no evidence of anything like that. I posted last year's numbers some time during the off-season, but I can't find them now.

Dak and Mahommes are the best of the under age 30 QBs.

Dak is clearly elite.
I agree. All Dallas has to do is TCB ..win games, get homefield...make it to the SB and bring home the Lombardy. Its within sight actually...the way its working out. Mahommes and Brady are the only things in our way.

There is one other and he's had our number. It's time to beat Aaron Rodgers.

Colin tells it like it is, in Linehan's offense Dak was indeed very mediocre.

Yeah? Where did he say that? Colin "tells it like it is" today. Tomorrow, he'll have something entirely different to say. If you choose to forget that, that's your prerogative. I remember.
