No, you're making assumptions about things that I haven't said. For example, I didn't suggest at all that winning the East is the ultimate goal. I suggested it's a measure of how good the team is and a measure of the job Garrett's done.
Your logic is out of whack, because you make the mistake that everyone else makes to think that coaching is primarily how good teams advance in the playoffs. There are a ton of factors (coaching, matchups, injuries, refereeing, luck, etc.). If there were evidence we're losing playoff games primarily because of coaching, that would be one thing. But there really isn't.
I obviously reference other teams winning the Superbowl as a measure of how strong the NFCE has been during the period we're discussing. Because another person wrongly stated the East has been in shambles while Garrett's here. Another bad argument to try to prop up what he wanted to believe in the first place.
