Are you a Zeke fan, a Dak fan, or a Cowboys fan?

There are a lot of die hard Dak supporters on this site, more so than Zeke supporters. Which is understandable given the amount of haters Dak has. I mean, I get it. I understand defending Dak, especially at this point in his career. Dak is balling out and everything is falling into place.

But what I don't understand is the shade getting thrown at Zeke in the process of defending Dak. We shouldn't downplay Zeke's success in defense of Dak's own. Zeke and Dak fans are turning on each other. Whatever happened to being a "Cowboys" fan?

There are a lot of Cowboys fans on this site. There are also a fair # of people that are just fans of themselves. So they like to pick sides, defend things, and be "right". Even if its just trolling because it makes them feel good. IE fans of themselves.

There is nothing about being right, but there is plenty of place for calling out things for what they are. Before this year Dak was playing like an average qb, this year he is playing as arguably the best ok you can have top 3. Zeke on this forum has always been overrated, and now with his contract it needs to be stated, he is not the best back in the league, he is running behind the best offensive line in the league, he really doesn't break tackles, sure he can get an extra hard yard.
I love that the statistical analysis breaks it down clearly that Zeke isn't elite, then you also have the zero MVP votes and PFF to back that up. Meanwhile on here you just got the homer fans saying that Zeke is best because he carries the ball the most.

Since Zeke's signing and the start of the season there has not much, if any, Dak vs Zeke on here. All of that offseason talk is said and done. We're on to the Saints. And yes I just pulled out my inner most Belichick. We're on to the Saints.

Agreed. We should all be Cowboys fans.

Love me some Dak. Love me some Zeke. Still believe Zeke should/could have waited until next year to demand a bigger new contract. By Zeke holding out with 2 years still left on his contract, that truly bothered me. Zeke is very good, top 5 easily, but he shouldn't have gotten paid top overall pay, even though I'm glad the Cowboys can break off that new contract after 3 years without much penalty to the team's salary cap. I feel the same way towards Dak. We all know why he refuses to sign a new contract right now. It's clear he is biding time to showcase his newly improved skills on the field, thus enabling him to demand top overall position pay. Grrr! This is where I side with the team over any player because we all know one has to take into account how such demands will affect the team's salary cap, thus affect the team in the near future about keeping together a playoffs deep capable team.

The players are looking out for themselves. The team has to look out for itself as well. Glad to have Dak and Zeke hopefully for many years to come, but players come and go. Team always comes first with me.

I’d argue he makes it look too easy.

He never ever goes backwards and often “falls” forward for another 3 yards.

He’s top 3 easily imo.

Stats regarding broken tackles, he was 5th in the league last year for yards after contact.

Stats regarding carries/yards. Barry Sanders avg. was 5.0, Emmitt was 4.2, Zeke is at 4.7. Meaning he's doing great. Not sure why some of you people think being a workhorse back is a negative. Not many backs can run as much as Zeke can.

People like this guy is exactly what I'm talking about. Most of his posts consist of rooting for Dak while downplaying Zeke. They're both projected to have their best seasons yet this year, not sure what the problem is?

I still see Zeke being brought up in arguments regarding Dak. And vice versa. But I agree, on to the Saints. :starspin:

Zeke used the leverage afforded to him by his play and the terms the owners agreed to in the labor negotiations.

RB s have some of the shortest careers in pro sports and likely take the most physical punishment. Smart move imo to get as much money as he could.

I’m often confused by the contempt for the player(laborer and the product) for attempting to get more money while the owners often get none while charging 16$ for a beer or 100$ to park a car. Not to mention having taxpayers build their stadiums for them.

To each his own.

Cowboys fan.

Have never been a "fan" of any individual player. Football is a team sport - I follow the team regardless of what players are on the roster.

I'm aware that there are people out there who follow the team because their favorite player is on the team. And its not just a Cowboys/Dak/Zeke/[insert player of your choice] thing - in a world where the focus is increasingly on the individual, it's no surprise that a lot of sports fans out there in many team sports follow individuals rather than teams.

Blah, blah, blah. Go whine to those who care. So you're for a player being as greedy as possible, even if it hurts the team? Don't know why you're bringing up the owners. They have a business to run, and their #1 goal is to make a profit. It has nothing to do with a team's salary cap and how a team's owner/GM has to manage that cap wisely if they intend on building and keeping a playoff capable team intact. You fail to acknowledge how those players make millions on the side through sponsorships simply for wearing the Star on their helmets, especially if they are a stud key team player. The owners with the approval of the players' union approved to the current CBA agreement which includes the salary cap. Unless you own a business, you truly don't understand nor have a right to be complaining against those "greedy" owners. If the players don't like it, they can go try to make such money $$$$$ elsewhere simply for playing a sport. Good luck with that.

I root for every Cowboys player. The better each one plays, the better the team will be and the happier I will be as a fan.

I always hated T.O. from the time he was with the Forty Whiners. I just don't like that type of personality and attitude. But I jumped for joy at every TD he scored for us.

Cowboys fan.

But I enjoy the zero sum game that many of the Dak stans like to play.
