I'm not a Dak hater. I think he's an outstanding athlete.
But if he had started anywhere but in Dallas he'd already be out of the NFL.

Cmon fam....:laugh:....everyone in some way is part of and effected by a "system"....we just refuse to allow this man to grow. Always a damn caveat.

Sound like a hater to me.
I think he's a great guy. But I am a realist who sees him struggle in the same situations he did in college.
If he has plenty of time he plays well. But when he has to be the reason for the Cowboys success he has struggled.
But you can't deny his athleticism and his ability to take what he's given and run with it.

The media is fans make Dak have to earn his respect week in and week out and season after season. While QBs like Wentz and Goff get automatically crowned as elite QBs on their way to a HOF career. And them automatically being crowned allows for more excuses and leeway for them. So that any struggles that Wentz, Goff or their teams has can be blamed on injuries or them not having enough help around them or coaches/playcalling.

Every QB needs a great supporting cast and great coaches/playcalling, but Dak is the only QB that a great supporting cast gets held against. While not having one would give other QBs the benefit of the doubt from media and NFL fans.

This is true of any QB in the league. Take Tom Brady and have him be drafted by the Browns rather than the Patriots and you wouldn't be referring to him as the GOAT. Same thing holds for any of the current great QB's. Would Patrick Mahomes be Patrick Mahomes if he had Scott Linnehan as the OC? Would Russel Wilson be Russel Wilson if he had played in AZ last year with no offensive line and the QB getting killed with no time back there?

No, no...….....his comment is way different. He is saying that Dak "would be out of the league". :muttley:

People react so quickly to statements they perceive to be all-or-nothing judgments. I understand what the original poster is saying. Dak struggled with accuracy, footwork, indecision, etc. Anyone who couldn't see that is blind. That doesn't mean he hasn't been a leader, doesn't mean he didn't have a clutch gene. It just means he's not a COMPLETE quarterback, and he isn't. Now that he apparently has a quarterback coach and an offensive coordinator who are getting the most out of him, we see the progress but want to see continued promise.
But questioning him and not swallowing the Koolaid that he has ARRIVED apparently offends many in this forum.
It's okay to admit that he's doing well, but we still need to see how he does against tougher competition. Many of us don't evaluate Dak by Cleveland Brown or Detroit Lion standards but by Cowboys standards, which means Super Bowls or bust.
That's why many don't appreciate Tony Romo.

Yeah, Dak struggled so badly in college that he led his talentless college team all the way to the #1 ranking, a major bowl win and even was a finalist for the Heisman trophy

Quit making a bigger fool of yourself.
