Funny thing is, we were 3-0 heading into Philly, and Philly absolutely killed us. 31-7.

Aikman put up all of 7 points. Emmit was 19-67.

Point? Every team throws up a stinker. Was I happy w/ Sunday night's performance? Oh holy armadillos no. Not even a bit. Terrible game. However, it's one game. I think it's time to step back and see what happens from here before we blow up the whole team. Did Mo learn anything? Will we make adjustments next time?

It's not a world changing game. It was one bad game. No excuses. But, fix it.

Comparisons in any context are laughable.

With a loser Garrett at the helm, this ain't the 92 Cowboys by a long shot. Good teams with good coaching will continue to spank this team.

That team was ran by one of the greatest coaches of all time, our team is coached by Jason Garrett. Comparisons in any context are laughable.
That didn't have to deal with cap issues and had an owner willing to shell out what ever $$$ for what ever player he wanted. Didn't far so well in Miami with cap restrictions!

I think it's a decent comparison. That team hadn't don't much yet and that was seen as the first true test of the season and I remember after we lost that game everyone anointed the Eagles as the team to beat. We rebounded and took control of the division and ultimately moved on to bigger and better things.

What complete nonsense. He fared so-so in Miami because he had no QB other than a washed up Dan Marino. In Dallas, he had a great young QB in place, and in Dallas and through his Miami years, few people were better at drafting defense than Jimmy Johnson.

Not comparing. Simply pointing out that bad games can happen, even to super bowl teams.

divsion rivals are one thing, i admit that. losing to a team with a decent qb and had injuries is just bad. there is no "bad game" we reverted to old ways and keep after the same thing with the same results.

Always good to see a well thought out thread with perspective and balance. Well done!:bow:

This is not true. At that time of this loss that 92 team didn't know they were winners. They won a playoff game the year before and that was it.

the culture was different, Jimmy Johnson had them believing they could beat anyone. they knew when they were on the field they were better than the other team.
