the culture was different, Jimmy Johnson had them believing they could beat anyone. they knew when they were on the field they were better than the other team.
Maybe he did but they didn't actual start becoming winners until they actual you know won the Super Bowl.

Oh no, I wasn't saying he's as good as Turner, nor was I say he isn't. I was just saying the offense goes through KM now, as it went through NT back then. Comparing Garrett to Jimmy is mostly irrelevant in regard to the play calling.
Norv during critical stages of the game will call Jimmy and ask what play he wants to run.

When the '92 Cowboys were ahead 24-20 with a little over 4 minutes left in NFC Championship game, Norv asked Jimmy what he wanted to do.

Jimmy said "score!"

Thus, Norv called a pass that led to a big gain and eventually a TD.

Cowboys caught the 49ers in a blitz who may have thought the Cowboys were going to ball control to wind down the clock.

Funny thing is, we were 3-0 heading into Philly, and Philly absolutely killed us. 31-7.

Aikman put up all of 7 points. Emmit was 19-67.

Point? Every team throws up a stinker. Was I happy w/ Sunday night's performance? Oh holy armadillos no. Not even a bit. Terrible game. However, it's one game. I think it's time to step back and see what happens from here before we blow up the whole team. Did Mo learn anything? Will we make adjustments next time?

It's not a world changing game. It was one bad game. No excuses. But, fix it.

Here's the difference........... Jimmy chewed that team up after philly and lit a fire that didn't go out for 3 years. We came back the next week and shut out Seattle 27-0. Carrot top isn't capable of it. We've been watching this movie for 8 seasons and pretty much know the ending. Could you have said that in 92? Nope.

"Score" is in the playbook? Well why the Hell don't they use that one all the time???

The difference is you beat a winning team in that 1992 3-0. A team that just won the Super Bowl to boot. Your first 3 teams you faced this year might combine for 40 losses.

You do know the first three teams we beat in 1992 combined for 29 losses right? And that includes the 9-7 Commanders you referenced. Then we got rolled by an Eagles team that finished 11-5.

Not comparing the two teams, just saying that start wasn't all that either. In other words, its how you finish that matters more.

They were going to run Emmitt and ball control to try to chew up clock. When Jimmy stated "score", they got aggressive with the pass.

2019 Cowboys are not anywhere close to the 1992 Cowboys.

The current team will be lucky to be a wildcard team while the 1992 team competed for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Yes... since JG is stubborn...

When the Cowboys play good teams; they will get outcoached the majority of the time.

They will play conservatively or not to lose and will end up losing in the playoffs if they make it.

I have not seen anything from the Cowboys that I feel confident that they can make the SB and win it.

if you watch that team, if you listen to that team, if you watched the interviews, you ll hear it.
I did watch that team as I've done every Cowboy team for the past 40 years. That team is no different than this team. This team says the same things that team did about what they want to accomplish. Put yourself at that time after that MNF loss to the Eagles and you aren't saying that team will win the Super Bowl at that time. You felt like they were a contender like this team but for sure champions no you weren't.

That didn't have to deal with cap issues and had an owner willing to shell out what ever $$$ for what ever player he wanted. Didn't far so well in Miami with cap restrictions!
What players on Jimmy Johnson's Cowboys would have killed a salary cap? Wasn't that team the youngest team in the league till he left?

For the love of God please don’t compare this team to the 1992 Cowboys. Players aside that coaching staff was a billion times better. Imagine if those teams played. The 1992 Cowboys would maul this team.

That team was an all time great squad.

Absolutely excellent example. I'm mad I didn't come up with this. I lived it in my prime. People are taking this way too seriously. Relax. We'll get back on track.

If you start Jarwin and limit JW to goal line and short yardage we win. Other areas need work but but that one change and we're 4-0.

That's a kind of random personnel explanation for the loss.

That team was ran by one of the greatest coaches of all time, our team is coached by Jason Garrett. Comparisons in any context are laughable.
so are you saying one of the greatest coaches of all time didnt prepare his team and got crushed?
