Why does 3-2 feel as bad or worse than the 3-5 start last season?

This team found a way to turn it around last season at 3-5, when it looked like they wouldn't be a playoff team. So, I guess that is reason enough not to completely give up on this team and this season. But, 3-2 this season feels worse than 3-5 for some reason.

Maybe it's because these loses back to back are still fresh and the Cowboys have yet to beat a team with a winning record this season. I believe that it just feels worse to me because of the brutal schedule we have coming up, which seems that much more difficult with the Cowboys not having beaten a good team yet this season.

I feel like the season is on the line somewhat in the next 2 weeks. There's the Jets who aren't an automatic win since they get some of their key players back. And then the Eagles. Even if we beat the Jets a loss to the Eagles puts this season in doubt.

This is going to be a long 2 weeks, because a win over the Jets isn't enough to make me feel that much better about this team.

3-2 is worse this year since it is easy to run against the Cowboys 4-2-5 defense and to make Dak try to beat you.

Cowboys are too stubborn to make necessary adjustments and thus opposing teams will continue their successful execution on offense and defense.

It will get really nasty when the Cowboys play better teams.

Because we all bought into the hype. All training camp we heard how amazing thiD will be, how Dak has become the next great QB. We all thought our LBs would take a step up. 5 games in its clear none of that is happening. I should have known better

Because many bought the hype machine. This team will continue to beat the bad teams and struggle with the better teams. That's the way it's been during the Garrett era. Next week we'll beat the Jets and all will be well until the following week when we play the Eagles.

This team is so badly coached that I can see us losing the the Jets if Sam Darnold and some of their other players come back. This defense is the perfect defense for Sam Darnold to try to come back on. If they can make Aaron Jones look great, they can make the Bell look great.

If we lose to the Jets the wheels might come off on this season. It isn't going to be pretty.

This team handles success in the most disgusting way and it goes back further than this current unit

if i was the coach the players union would have to step in and fire me....this team aint been to no super bowl or nfccg since 1995 and at 3-0 i would have them in full pads running windsprints and hitting like its a live game in practice

If we lose to the Jets we will be hard pressed to get to 8-8.

No doubt.

I will say our season is at even odds to go down the drain as it is to finish with 10+ wins. A true testament to having Garrett at HC.

The guy can ruin anything, yet his players give max effort regardless.

This team's best ball (combined with that max effort) can still win a bunch of football games. I stand by that.

Why is it that we can't have the Offense, Defense and special teams all play well for a season? There almost always has to be 1 or 2 that go full derp a game.

Expectation.

Last year I was hopeful like always but understood we were just talent deficient at WR and TE. This year there are no excuses.

Because going into 2018 the WR core was poop and the feeling on Prescott was meh due to his 2017 ending. Expectations weren't that great. And IIRC they would win a game then lose the next one.

This year their new OC looks good early on, they put up 3 straight games of over 30 points and then when they play the tough teams it's an overall failure on every facet.

How can they win a bunch of games? They might win 3 more, have you seen the schedule? 6-10 might be optimistic at this point. They can't run, the OL is a flat out disaster, the DL might just as bad. The LB suck, we have one good corner, jone, the rest are iffy at best. Copper has become a drop machine, the QB is back to being average.

On a serious note, the NFLPA would simply report you and ask for arbitration. On the other hand, negative findings by the arbitrator would give the commissioner power to fine you $100 K on the first violation and $250 K on the second violation. The commissioner would automatically fine the owner $250,000 and $500,000, respectively. Other possible penalties within the commissioner's purview would be cancelling the next scheduled week of OTAs and/or forcing the team to forfeit a fourth round draft choice.
