I've never payed poker, but they keep giving us a card a day. The girl says I'm one card away from having something known as a "royal flush." I don't know what that is, but I'll have to look it up. Hopefully it's something good. Anyone know?

You need to host regular poker tournaments. They're fun. Do a cheap buy-in (like $5) and have 20 players. Say the Winner gets 70%, Second place gets 20%, and Host gets 10% (for providing the venue, chips, etc).

It's a lot of fun, especially with games like Texas Hold'em.

Have the Jack of spades, Queen of spades, King of spades, and Ace of spades. Looks like I just need the 10 of spades. It would be weird if I got that the very first time ever playing poker. I didn't even ask to play. She just started giving me cards.

Would be funny if they knew that about you and the whole office was in on the joke of giving you a royal flush one card at a time :D

Hmmmmmmm. I wonder if they're doing that ............ except I picked each card from a deck. But maybe she did a magicians thing to make sure I got a certain card. Or maybe the cute girl just likes me ................. nah, less likely than a royal flush.

I have been playing poker for years, like 35+ years and have never got a RF. I have seen a couple, once in Vegas and another online.

i wonder how many decks you are picking a card from, the less decks the less chance to get that flush. It is a one deck game with like a 1 in 650K chance to hit it but you might be picking from hundreds of cards for more chances?
I have gotten a straight flush many times along with four of a kind but that royal is a unicorn :muttley:

There appear to be at least two decks. Some of the cards have a red back and others have a blue back.

I am not a big poker player, but a royal flush is a ten, jack, queen, king and ace of the same suit.

It's the best hand in the game from what I remember.
If you're not using wild cards. Some people play 5 of a kind is the highest hand.

If you are using multiple decks, then yes. I was assuming that since it was office poker, it was more traditional in that it was a single deck. Now that we know there are at least two decks, those rules don't apply so you would probably be right.

I don't know what kind of poker it is, if she's just giving him cards, seemingly at random. I wonder if anyone else is being included in this game.

I've never been dealt one live, but i've had 4 through the years online.

Collected bonuses on 3 of them, the 4th i didn't use both hole cards.
