That is foolish. Garrett has some skills particularly when it comes to player development and motivation. I get his faults in terms of scheme and in the minute decision making.

You can certainly do better but you also can do worse.

Then the question is, can you do well enough?

For me, bare minimum, I want a coach who can make the playoffs on a consistent basis. Garrett has three appearances in nine years. Is there a reason another nine years would look substantially different?

Does anyone think Amari Cooper is going to re-sign here? The front office traded a first round draft pick for a WR who wants to get paid and probably wants to win.

The inability to sign him in the offseason meant he was gone and with it that first round draft pick. When will the Cowboys stop trading first round draft picks for wide receivers...?

I bet Cooper will sign a one or two year deal with a team who has a QB that can help him produce some serious numbers.
