The Dallas Cowboys have lost three straight games, but Jerry Jones isn't ready to pin all of the blame on Jason Garrett.

The Cowboys jumped out to a 3-0 mark with one of the NFL's highest scoring offenses.

"I'm going to be very trite. I was a lot happier with what he had done the first three games than what's happened the last three games," Jones said of Garrett. "But the big thing I want to say is it's not just him. This is across the board. That had a lot of input out there tonight to get in that spot."

Speaking on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas last week, Jones dispelled the possibility of Garrett getting fired in-season after some oddsmakers made him the second favorite head coach to be fired, behind Atlanta's Dan Quinn.

"Don't bet any money [on] that happening," Jones said. "You'll lose it."

We go 3-13 and we'll see who loses it. This team only has 2 winnable games left and I don't think they're a guarantee.

I think that any of the remaining games are technically winnable, but I have no expectation that they can be pencilled in as wins.

...even a rich man, has its pressure points. Lets hope Philly opens a can of whoop *** in hometown buffet. Then the disgrace might be enough or at least push the envelope.

I can't see any. Knowing Garrett we'll probably upset a couple. Won't make much difference in the long run.

As long as Jerry is here, does it really matter who the head coach is?

I mean, I would take with a grain of salt. Everyone was asking about Linehan last season and Jerry Jones gave us the same ole’ “Dont bet on it” response. It doesn’t look good as an owner/GM to just straight out say: Oh yeah, we’re gonna fire JG and his counterparts. Linehan was fired not too soon after the Rams game. JJ will lose his temper one night and will fire someone on the coaching staff. Mark my words.

Booger will defend Garrett as long as he can because he had no plans not to extend him when this season began. Lose Sunday night and that gets tougher because the media is just waiting to go on the hunt. Booger is a defiant person but only to a point. The minute this begins to shift toward his competency level for keeping Garrett, that's when things heat up. His ego cannot withstand the blame falling on him.

I still do not think he fires Garrett during the season as that makes no business sense and that's probably the worst insult an owner can give to a HC, remove him before it's over. Garrett is too close to the Highland Park Hillbillies to be treated like that and who would he turn the team over to?

And all the while this is going on, somewhere there's an ex Cowboys OC smiling to himself. Looks like his successor was a 3 game Jesus.

Why not? There's been an ex-HC smiling since Garrett took over.

Why should Jerry Jones change? He's been able to fleece Cowboys fans for over 20 years with perpetual mediocrity. People will keep attending games even if Garrett gets extended another 10 years

I'm sure he doesn't see the irony of that statement.
