8+ seasons as the full time HC
3 playoff appearances
2 playoff wins

7 head coaches still have their job since Garrett became the full time HC in 2011:
6 have appeared Super Bowls.
5 have won the Super Bowl.

Garrett is the only Dallas Cowboys coach ever to :
  • Lose a game when leading by 14 in 4th qtr (jets 2011)
  • Lose a game after leading by 24 (detroit 2011)....did a similar repeat of this later in GB 2013 game
  • The Cowboys (JG) established a new franchise low in rushing touchdowns in the 2011 season with five, which included a rushing TD by Romo himself
  • Ice his kicker on a winning kick and lose the game....Arizona 2011
  • Lose 3 win or go home games in a row
  • Have 3 non winning seasons in a row, (tied with Campo) also coach Landry when the franchise was first created
  • Go 8-8 3 seasons in a row
  • Had the worst defense in franchise history
  • Go 10 quarters without scoring a TD. Club record. (2017)
  • Score single digits in 3 straight games. Club record. (2017)
  • Lose to a team who had more penalty yardage than offensive yardage. Club record. (2017)
  • Have 4 losses by over 20 points. (2017)
  • Get 8 sacks in 1 game. The most given up by any Cowboy team since 1991.
  • Score 10 points or less in 3 straight games. (2017)
  • Lose a game when running 42 times in a game (2012)
  • Allow 625 yards and 40 first downs in a game (2013)

Jason Garrett is the now the only coach ever to lose a game while winning Time of Possession, Total Yards, Turnovers, Pick up 25 First Downs, and convert at least 10 or more 3rd downs. (91 game sample)

Worst rushing TD total in team history. That dates back to 12 game seasons. lol Don't remember the year, but the 'group' of RBs had 6 TDs on the season.

"Lose to a team who had more penalty yardage than offensive yardage. Club record. (2017)"

How is this even possible?!?!? Jason Garrett should be fired for this alone.

Against the Seahawks.

Seahawks yardage: 136
Penalties against: 11 for 142 yards.

Garret was nothing but wishful thinking. He wasn’t qualified and showed no reason why he should get 8 years as a head coach other than just the fact that Jerry wanted it to be so.

I unfortunately remember that game... Was just commenting on how blatantly implausible that is to lose a game under those conditions. You really have to be completely unprepared as a football team to lose a game in that situation.

Weird. That guy OmerV is like in some weird kinda denial over these kind of facts. I mean now that I see this post and with the post I referred him to Dallas CowboysUniverse.com for an even more lengthy and comprehensive compilation, I thought he might see that these rare "finding ways to lose type occurrences were facts." Denial ain't just a river in Egypt. Oh well, to each his own I guess.

DearJerry-
If you are still employing this head coach, please stop insulting your fans by pretending you’re serious about winning anything other than a “Forbes Championship” or the respect of your fellow family members whom you have set up for life.

We all see that the only thing that qualified you to be GM was a $147 million dollar check. The only thing qualifying your offspring for a lifetime of job security is their DNA. Most of us call it nepotism. Or arrogance of the highest order. Changes are needed. And have been needed for nearly a quarter of a century.

Sincerely,
A fan since 1964 who stopped buying your product and bs a long time ago.

Since 2011, home teams have lost a game in which they held a lead of 15 or more points only 7 times. Dallas owns 3 of those losses.

Most home losses when scoring 30+ points since 2010

I notice the OP didn’t post the actual records of the eight coaches. I know it’s about Super Bowls but it’s a significant stat that was omitted.

Pretty sure a Super Bowl win gets you a lot more leeway. He's the only one who hasn't made it to a Super Bowl.

I said as much. But the records would complete the picture unless it doesn’t fit the narrative.

What narrative is that?

Belichick: .746 win percentage
Payton: .621 win percentage
Tomlin: .644 win percentage
Harbaugh: .593 win percentage
Garrett: .563 win percentage
Carroll: .630 win percentage
Rivera: .563 win percentage

He's tied for dead last amongst his peers.

One of these things is not like the others:
