This begs the question, is Lincoln Riley as intrigued with Jerry as Jerry is with him?

There's also an issue around how much Jerry would be willing to spend to get him!

It's being said lately that several GMs around the NFL will be vying for his services.
Riley recruited Stephen Jr. , therefore S Jones and Riley already have a connection.

This is another example of a ridiculously misleading title to an article. There isn't one iota of evidence to support the assertion that Jones is intrigued by Riley if he gets rid of Garrett. Anyone can be a reporter these days if all they have to do is print whatever they can think up in their minds without the requirement of supporting evidence.
The article I read said that several sources close to the situation say that there is interest or intrigue. I dont know what you are saying here.

Where did Booger say he was intrigued? That web site is schlock.

There are only a handful of cherry jobs in college ball that are birds nests on the ground and OU is one of them. OU will pay him more than Booger would pay him so it's not about the money.

But for the purpose of this thread, say you get him, now what is Booger going to do about the staff? OU doesn't play D, they outscore opponents in a weak conference.

What is there about the hiring of coaches since Johnson left and he had to hire Parcells to get the stadium that would lead you to believe the Joneses could build Riley a staff? The NFL isn't like what he's used to with wide open offense able to get to the playoffs, have to play D in the NFL and good D, NE good. That's why he can't get a ring in college, they play D in the Big 10 and SEC.

Again
I can't see any reason a coach already getting payed what an NFL coach does would take a step down to come coach here.
He already has a better gig.

More money? A chance to win a Super Bowl? The guy is 36 and can coach for a long time.
He's already making the equivalent of what an NFL coach makes
Id rather win national championship over super bowls any day

Just remember before you get too excited I've mentioned this before and so have a lot of other people on here the coach may not really matter when you still have Jerry as the GM owner and self-proclaimed King of the Dallas Cowboys so I'm not sure if it would really matter

Paul Finebaum of ESPN/SEC Network is adamant Riley will be coaching the Cowboys next season. We'll see.
Paul is a great journalist. I don't always agree with him or even like him, but MANY things he says happen. He must have some darn good sources. I have no doubt what he says will happen.

He would be good for Dak as well as a positive mentor for Moore.

Maybe that's his delay in firing Garrett.........he will likely wait till the off season and after ou's season ends to address this. Would be a big name coach that Jerry would like.

I would guess that if Riley were to come here he would want to pick his own staff and I can’t see him keeping an OC that doesn’t know his system. I doubt Moore would be here if clappers gets fired.
