Do you think the players believe in each other?

Coaching is one thing but for a team to really be a team, it is their belief and trust in each other that brings that together.

When they walked off that field in NY, was that a team of players believing in each other?

It might be the injuries affecting it and their challenges to play well missing starters or the fact they've had to come back from 28 and 18 down only to come up short but their posture was all wrong.

I didn't see leaders stepping up except the QB and that could be because of their playing doesn't represent leadership. Lee and Witten haven't played very well and neither has Yosemite.

Since they were in the thick of it, it might be hard for them to see it at the time but how could Prescott's play and giving himself up to make plays not inspire them and that might have been what sparked the comeback but they looked like a team that had just been blown out by 21 points leaving that field.

We get to find out about this team Sunday night. Are they a team or a gathering of individuals? Can they forget who's not on the field and focus only on who is? But most of all, will they play for their HC like they're defending him.

That's the tell on this coaching situation. I read that team in NY as not being coach friendly coming off that field and there may be some loyal to him players that are counter to the others. Hard to be a team when they can't come together for the coach. Because then, they can't come together for each other.

Belief is an amazing component. Have that, a person can do things beyond themselves. Lose it and they can fail to live up to their own bare minimum.

It's not about the X's and O's this week, it's about something far more basic than that. I do think the Eagles players still have that but I am not sure about our Cowboys and belief will not be about the final score, we will know about belief long before that game is over. They can lose the game but if they've lost belief, they've already lost the season.

No. It's pretty obvious with the way they interact with each other not only off the field, but even on the sidelines and before/after the games. I wouldn't even say that they don't believe in each other, but rather that they don't respect each other. That messes with chemistry, which is one thing I think is messing with the team. If your team isn't passionate together, if your players don't respect each other, if your team isn't a unit instead a group of individuals, it WILL show on the field. Im not sure if bringing in a new HC would bring them together or not, but this isn't an easily fixed problem.

Do you believe in everyone at your work? NFL players are literally just doing their jobs. They are humans. On every team there is probably 30 people who are there solely to get paid.

I'd guess

30 - There to get paid and not do something dumb on Sundays to lose games.
10 - Enjoy football but want to get paid.
5 - Love football and losing effects them. Enjoys paychecks a little more though.
5 - Live eat and breathe football. Want to win every game and would play for a little less $

The money is so big, that's the only thing they really believe in anymore.

Players kinda want to win, but it barely matters to them unless they already have their pile of money and want to build their Hall of Fame resume.

We care far more than they do.

The only thing they believe is they deserve more money.
Shane, I think that might have a lot to do with this because this off season, all the talk was about all the money, it's never been that bad before. That's all the Joneses would talk about. Football players are just human beings like everybody else, except everybody else knows how much football players make.

Couple that with there may be some question about these players actually working hard enough to earn that game check. Can't fool the players, they know how hard every player is going at it.

From a coaching situation, if they're not going to demand more from the 21M DE or 15M RB, what can they demand from the lesser paid? That QB still on his rookie deal outhustled and outplayed the new super rich.

You have completely and absolutely no idea what the hell you are talking about.

IMO, they want to believe in each other but, because of the lack of a strong head-coach, at the first sign of adversity, they begin to question everything — including their teammates.

Of course they do.
That's pretty positive, not sure I share that. And I am attaching a lot to how I saw them exit that field, could have been just abject disappointment for a failed comeback after a failed comeback and I am reading too much into that. But that's what I do, I watch people and their posture to try and ascertain insight into a deeper hole. If I'd been that lion, tinman or scarecrow, I'd have pulled that curtain back long before they let Toto do it.

That's only 50 players. We are missing three...........

You want them yucking it up after losing 3 straight? Disappointment is the correct response.

If that's true, may be the NFL should go to more incentive based contracts.
Example: a touch pass of 10 yards, or less, will get you $5,000.00.

No, but I saw something more in them than just disappointment.

There are two focuses one can have about a comeback and one of those is who put us in the comeback hole. If they feel it was coaching, that's one thing and nothing they can do about that but if they feel it was their fellow players and they suspect they're asleep at the wheel, that's a different animal. If that player(s) is making a whole lot more money, that's an angry animal.

What they should have never allowed was release of what any player is making. Cap totals? Yep but not what goes into that cap, what the hell does that have to do with why people watch the game? It's strictly an agent bragging rights tool and they should have never allowed it.

Well, you can never shut people up. There will always be leaks, and rumors. Often times rumors are worse than facts.
