Targetting a DT in free agency

What we need in a DT is a guy who can shed blocks and tackle. Our leading tackler is christian covington with 11 and that's ok but not great. Part of that may be scheme but let's atleast try to upgrade the position. I doubt Stephen goes for one of the top guys but if we could be a force in the middle it sure would help this defense not suck.

Pierce IIRC has been a good NT in the 3-4 when he isn't overweight.

I expect them to go for another "who?" in free agency and maybe another late day 3 pick to get Rod to fist pump.

From what I've seen and read is that Billings has done an good job next to Aktins but their linebackers aren't filling in the remaining run gaps.

Supposedly made a big jump in play from 2017 to 2018.

For some reason Rod likes what he calls the quicker DL We just dont look for the big nasty line crowder type. Cant believe we took Hill in the 2nd when I felt like we could of had him in the 3rd and went with an upgrade at Safety.

Looked up of his stats. They look pretty solid. If we have a change in philosophy he is a guy I wouldnt mind taking a look at

Justin Hamilton...dont know cause stephen won't sign or trade for a high profile guy. Hope justin will impact the run game, we shall see.

I totally agree We need a True 1T that is Nasty

Woods is the closest thing we've had to a nasty 1 tech. the front office is not going to spend big money on a two-down player. If hes big and nasty and has position flex.. then sure. but thats the only way. But yalls best bet is, yall need to hope for a different scheme

There are maybe 5 teams in the league who do this. No we don't.

Nickel is base, and when you have a plug, you hurt your passrush.

Jordan Phillips has 7 sacks for the Bills (4-3)
Always flashed this type of potential in Miami but either couldn't put it together or got into the doghouse.

He's a bigger DT, but moves like a 295-300lb guy. IMO got to keep him motivated.

I *think* it was medical, and he's played in all but 1 game since missing all 16 as a rookie
