Pre-Draft, I was hoping we'd draft Wentz. I thought he was really going to be something. I was bummed when the Eagles took him.

I like most people went, Dakota who..?? In fact, when talking to one of my sons, I simply said, oh... & we drafted some QB in the 4th round.

Fast forward to today. I wouldn't trade Dak for Wentz straight up. While Wentz has some qualities that Dak doesn't, vice versa is true as well. Dak I believe has more overall value, & so far, has proven much more durable. Their stats aren't terribly far apart. I think if one is just looking at stats, Dak has been the better player. If one has watched them both play, I think Dak is the better overall player.

This is not to say, I don't wish we had a better QB. Just one man's opinion on the two.

Rivers, Stafford, Watson are definitely not better than Dak. 2 others are questionable. There is a reason why Dak leads all QBs in QBR after 6 games, especially after losing the last 3 games in a row.

Because the first three teams we played are ranked 26th, 29th, and 31st defensively against the pass? We still haven't played a top 10 passing defensive team (the last three were 12th, 14th, and 22nd). By the way the Eagles are 28th.

I have zero issues with Dak but that is not exactly an endorsement. Context matters.

Did the context matter last season when Dak, Amari and the offense were lighting it up the 2and half of the season, including playoffs?

One was the #1 pick in the draft.......one was a 4th round pick thrown into the Lions den from day one due to romo's injury...........which one has lived up to or exceeded the expectations of their draft position?

He wasn't thrown into a lions den, he came into a very good situation. If anything, Wentz had it worse initially.

And if Wentz was taken in the 4th round, he'd be exceeding expectations. But it doesn't matter now, they are both in their 4th year. Draft status means diddly crap.

This is this decades romo vs eli.

The giants had the better organization, Dallas had the better player. Organizations win.

I think Dak and Wentz are essentially a push, wentz is more talented but he doesn't do anything better than Dak except accuracy....Dak is more durable and more liked in the locker room. They are just a push.

The eagles won a Super Bowl though in this era already though.

There isn't a GM in the league that wouldn't take Wentz over Dak. Including Will McClay.

This, and the imaginary MVP award get thrown around a lot in this debate. I don’t believe either are true.

I do still think a majority of NFL GMs would give Wentz the nod. But actual performance, injury history, and the questions about Wentz’ leadership have eaten into that lead of the last couple of seasons.

I mean, do you seriously believe a rookie QB getting put behind one of the best offensive lines of the past two decades is throwing a QB to the lions? Dak's rookie season situation is the most ideal - elite pass protection and elite running game. There are veteran QBs that have been in the NFL for a decade that never had that type of protection even in their dreams.

If anything, not having a better QB in 2016 hurt our chances for a Super Bowl.

Watson 12tds and only 3 ints. Dak has 11tds and 6 ints. Yea, I would say he is

Imagine if Dak was getting the pressure Watson is facing up front, how many excuses they’d be making for Dak.. 18 sacks to a whopping 7. They never cease to amaze with their Dak love.

Look what just happened last week when Dak faced the Jets and their bottom 20 defense that got ‘some pressure’ on Dak...

Seems like a lame and pointless argument when both QBs are falling short and neither fanbase is happy.
