why would a team still in the hunt get rid of good player or great as you say and for practically nothing.. makes no sense...im not buying hes that great or the lions wouldn't give him away that low..or at all.. something's fishy

Yes, he was their Defensive Team Captain. And he’s been one of their best DB’s for a couple years now. Incredibly shocked by this trade. Only 26 and they basically gave him away.

He's small and not very fast. His draft profile says he is smart and has good instincts, but apparently he is short on physical traits. Obviously there is a reason the Lions were willing to give him up essentially only for the ability to turn a 7th round pick into a 5th round pick.
