Bennett can still contribute. Richard was his DC in Seattle so he likely feels they can work together.

He's a serious upgrade as a rotational DE. Keep in mind we've been running Joe Jackson and Dorance Armstrong out there and they haven't done much.

He’s being signed because Crawford is on IR and Hill sucks, don’t know what else to tell you

lets not be negative..just look at the price and the need it fills. HILL is ok...and needs more time. I never anticipated Hill to be anything more than he is just yet. Crawford is likely gone next year..so this makes sense.

I love this trade. Quinn and Lawrence are playing well - but our inside pass rush has been weak. If Bennett can come in and push the pocket on 3rd down, our pass rush will be much more effective.
