I think they have , a couple have gained good yardage. But nothing all the way.
the 2 big runs with jones were partly due to scheme and aaron making the right decision .

In 2 of 3 seasons Zeke has been second in total yds from scrimmage. The one season he wasn't, he missed 6 games but still was a top 10 rusher on that season. Zeke in year 4 is still producing at a high level and is still among league leaders in many categories, despite our increased down field passing game.

Jones is in year 3 and hasn't shown that same level of consistency, in 3 seasons, he's only broken 100yds from scrimmage a handful of times. Recency bias, Jones played great in his last game, but that doesn't mean he can sustain a high level of performance. Zeke has proved that he can, going on 4 seasons, not just a handful of games. Zeke is a great RB, right now we don't know what Jones really is. Will he be a great RB or just a good one or above average with a splash day every now and then?

And in both those seasons he lead the league in touches, yet was only 2nd in scrimmage yards. Bit scrimmage yards doesnt really have anything to do with what I said. We were talking about elite seasons by players, Zeke's had one.

Don't think anyone would argue a season with averaging 4.1 yards per carry, or having more fumbles than rushing TDs are elite at all.

Well you seem to be a prisoner of stats.
I want a RB who can be a game changer and help win games, not one who just piles up meaningless yards each year.
Also one who can show up in playoff games.
I will admit due to our hc and his staff, elliot does not get a chance to do more like he probably could.
But elliot has shown poor vision and decisions when running, and sometimes runs into his own guys, as well as defenders.
That is why he has not broke even 1 long run for td this year or last year.
And why he only had 38 yds in the ram playoff game. but I guess you guys think 38 yards is elite yards lol.

I did watch it, but far his best game of the season, and one of his best over the last three years. Doesn't excuse the much much much larger sample size.

Emmitt Smith averaged more than 4.5 ypc only 3 times in his career. Was he painfully average? A 4.5 ypc is pretty good. Elliott has had two seasons with 1900+ yards from scrimmage. That is 2 elite seasons out of 3 played.

Elliott has a much larger sample size because he is good. They feed him the ball because he can handle the workload. That matters. Elliott is also a year younger than Jones.

Well as in my other post, it isnt about yards, it is about helping your team to win close games.
What did elliot do in the NO game which was close. what about the jets game?
Gb won because of the 2 long td runs by jones, I dont know how many yds he had, it does not matter.
Can he sustain it, I dont know, it really only matters for this season.
So far I can say he was main reason GB beat Dallas and KC, 2 good teams, and that is not something you can say about elliot.
If he can avoid injury, he will be a factor in playoffs I think, but you never know.

Shows a lack of knowledge when comparing stats from players 2+ decades apart.

The top 10 rushers in 1995 averaged 4.0 yards per carry. This year? 4.9.

Adjust Elliott by .9 that's 3.6 yards per carry

Bulk stats like scrimmage yards shouldnt impress anyone, and doesn't make your elite that's for sure.

Weird rebuttal. Jones has never played in a playoff game. Has only run for more than 50 yards twice this yr. only cracked 100 yds 3 time in his career. He’s had two really nice games, as guys like ty Montgomery have done previously. He’s not special and zeke eats his lunch.
 
Jordan Howard, Jay Ajayi, Kareem Hunt......all flash in the pans that looked incredible as well. Consistency is what I’ll take.

Having said that Jones looks real good. He was the only player UTEP had.
