I wish I can put in a video of the Rock saying what’s your name? Then saying “It doesn’t matter what your name is.” That is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the thread.

If he wanted to improve the roster he'd be adding strength on the interior of the defensive line and looking for another burner at receiver.
He's just blindly adding pieces, not knowing where they should go.

Michael bennett is perfect fit to replace crawford talent wise. They traded for robert quinn in the offseason.

They traded for cooper last year and austin..plus drafted gallup...this year they signed cobb. You want them to find another wr at the trade deadline?

and for the record it's stephen who handles all the trade discussions not jerry.

they took a shot today that an extremely talented young player and gave good offers but the jets were looking to loot the ship today.

The Cowboys secondary would look awesome if the defensive line controlled the line of scrimmage.

The core of Jimmy's team managed to squeeze out one more SB win despite Switzer, and it all fell apart 2 years later.

Barry never had an NFL job before Dallas or after Dallas. He was a joke of a hire.

So winning a SB is a joke?

I just like messing with people over it.

But he was the coach so he gets the credit.

who was available on the defensive line that is young, highly talented and not carrying an expiring contract? which lineman fits that description that was passed on today?

I'll agree that Switzer really just stood there and didn't interfere with the Cowboys coordinators- and it was also his downfall. That team needed real coaching from a head coach.
But Switzer also knew not to try to completely reprogram a scheme that had seen such great success.
So initially he did the right thing. But he should have took over in 1996.

There's always someone if you look hard enough.

Scheme is fine. You can't make plays in the secondary without playmakers
If a team doesn't make a mistake or we don't get a sack, the scheme is not designed to stop anyone until they get in the redzone. So when are these so called playmakers suppose to make plays in this scheme?

I remember Larry Brown getting two interceptions in that Superbowl against the Steelers. He wasn't a playmaker. Those interceptions came from the coaches watching film and learning tendencies. Do these defensive coaches even try to do that?

As Garrettt alway says, " We don't focus on other teams. We just focus on ourselves."

Jerry still doesn't get it.
You can have the best player at every position, but without adequate coaching it won't matter.
Jerry is trying to buy a Super Bowl victory, but greatness cannot be bought.
It cannot be decided. You can't "Be great today".
Greatness can only be earned with discipline, desire, and determination; but you also need the fourth "D".
Direction.
"Without a vision, men perish."
Without the right leadership, there is only confusion.
Cry me a river.
