Baker Mayfield has heated exchange with reporter and walks out

Twas a dumb series of questions.

Kid has talent, but be curious to watch him when things don't go smoothly-like this year lol.

Don't care for the guy but gotta take his side on this one.

Why? Players get asked dumb questions all the time. They get asked dumb questions when they win and when they lose. I personally would be annoyed with having to do interviews if I were a player, but it is part of the job. He handled it poorly. It is what I expected of him. I see him as a guy who can't yet handle the pressure. Maybe he will learn, but I doubt it.

Multiple players have given reports crap, one being Tom Brady. Had a similar response to Baker.

Reports are scum, and I am 100% okay with generalizing here. They are legalized harassers at this point, and I'd get kicked off this board if I said what should be allowed done to them. Good for Baker, I hope he doesn't apologize and that same reporter has already suggested he went in with the intent to agitate.

Oh, and there is an actual history between Baker and this reporter - the reporter is a troll and has been going at Mayfield before he was even drafted.

I'm reminded of a time when Michael Strahan called out a reporter for continuing
the harass him through the media while hiding behind his "journalist" credintials.

It all seemed to work out fine for Strahan.

Mayfield's reaction was nothing compared to the Ryan Leaf meltdown.

Since when did calling out a reporter for his pettiness and ignorance turn into being unable to " handle pressure"?
Seemed like a grown man thing to do, in my opinion.

I guess Belichick should've just answered the clown reporter that asked if he would look into the QB situation after
Brady played poorly against KC a while back (2 years ago?)... smh

Exactly, I fail to understand why teams continue to force players into these confrontational rooms with a bunch of twits trying to make a name and increase their own twitter following. The pressers are an antiquated part of the social media era. We don't need reporters to tell us what somebody said anymore.

Was that Baker Mayfield of the loaded, SB contending Browns?
:lmao:

:hammer: He's getting a dose of NFL reality. As Richard Sherman said, he ain't as good as he thinks he is. Trust me, Sherman was likely giving a general pic of his reputation around the league among players.

They're one of the few teams with a bad record that I think has a chance of turning it around. They've had a pretty brutal schedule so far, and it gets MUCH easier going forward.

Their last 5: Rams, Ravens, Seahawks, 49ers, Patriots
Their next 9: Broncos, Bills, Steelers x 2, Dolphins, Bengals x 2, Cardinals, Ravens
