They were probably fined what amounts to pocket change. Sending them home is far worse and a very good message to the team. Now, if this was not a MNF game coming up the pre week prep altered somewhat, I wonder if that would have been the call? Both of these players have been disappointing so far this season and they need a wake up call. Think about how embarrassing that is for them with their teammates. That's like being treated like a child. There also may be something going on with one or both of these players than we are aware of and the team is stressing a point.

What the hell? Players are getting payed a hell of a lot more than they would in the private sector and can't show up on time when they only work a little over half the year?

Good for Jason, I remember Jimmy cutting a player that fell asleep during a meeting. They later said he probably wouldn't have made the team but the players got the message.

Hey Mike, why don't you stick around for more than 500 posts and get the lay of the forum before you start calling posters names because you don't like what they post?

I know the place well. i have been reading here for a long time. Just recently signed up.

From my lurking this guy is always posting stuff like this, his opinion of the men who play this game is that they are here for his entertainment and that if they didn't play football would all work at home depot. i have seen him post this type of thing time and time again.

Which tells me a lot about a person. There is nothing wrong with working at Home Depot and most of the men who play this game have all kinds of other talents and skills.

C'mon guys, I'm sure they were just confused by the upcoming time change. Happens to all 2nd round picks, on every team. 2nd rounders aren't supposed to play their rookie years anyway, blah.....blah.....

They would have been on time with the time change as we fall back on Sunday but the team could use you in the Excuses Department.

no you are the guy i saw in the off topic discussion a few weeks ago make a comment about wanting illegal immigrants at the super bowl halftime show to have to run towards the doors and the ones who make it get to stay and the rest....I guess you were deporting them or killing them or whatever.

Par for the course for this place in my reading off and on for years.

Don't overreact to a first offense. They could have been late due to traffic congestion - which means they should leave earlier to make sure traffic doesn't make them late. Also, we don't know the details. Perhaps they were riding together, and only one was at fault for being late, while the other was late due to riding together.

It only becomes an issue if there are multiple repeat violations. Otherwise, this is just a learning opportunity for two young players.

Trysten Hill... That pick upset me a lot on draft day and he has yet to make me think 1 time that he might be ok going forward.

Outside of his measurables the guy offers nothing. He is so far away from being ready to do anything that I almost miss the days of taking injured first rounders who fell into the 2nd because Hill is no different then that kind of player but at least they had real potential and we are just hoping his athleticism translates eventually.

How is that good for Jason? These guys aren't playing well and when late for a meeting, get rewarded with a day off and a "come back tomorrow". Not sure how that enforces any kind of rules or discipline.

Hate to see a vet and a first selection show up late after a bye week, for crying out loud.
Nice to see there is some discipline from the coaches.

I don't know what carwash you worked at before you came here that let you stroll in 20 minutes late but it wasn't owned by me and I own a ****ing car wash!

Talk about perfect timing for the situation and avatar!! HAHAHAHAHH!

Since when is woods playing poorly? and hill never plays so he is irrelevant.

Mike, anyone ever suggested a sense of humor transplant? You've been here long enough to know the first filter applied here is the Humor one followed by the Sarcasm filter. It's all having fun, don't be so serious and take so much here at face value. Be like ole CC and don't take any of it at face value. Visualize the ones making the rants have dropped their pants in a nest of fire ants.

And hey, that halftime idea for the SB is better than anything they've come up with and we could put numbers on them and wager on the ones we think are fast.

Good, this is the kind of things that need to happen consistently.

On the contrary John. This is the kind of thing we never need to see. I have no problem sending them home, I have a big problem with our most important interior DL and a 2nd round rookie, who has done little to justify the selection thus far, showing up late for meetings.

These two knuckleheads just need to pick the route with the least traffic, from the Golden Corral to the Star, so they'll be on time for practice.
