I wasn't impressed. Cowboys were selling out to stop Barkley (as they should), and Danny Nickels couldn't get much done other than that amazing catch by Tate, and a few nice hide-the-ball scrambles. Maybe he'll be good, but right now, he's terrible. Goff was terrible too, and tuned out (maybe?) pretty good.

Potential is there. Will it actually be reached is another question.

If he lives... without being broken... he will probably be pretty good.

Not getting broken with the giants offensive line at times, may be a miracle.

Although I barely saw most of his plays last night from a million work related issues. So I don't know how well they did last nght, I am going to watch the game later today... still in work hell lol.

I don't think he will have the mental toughness to survive in this league, especially if he doesn't learn to protect the football. 8 or 9 fumbles lost already.
DJ is the Gnats qb of the future. It’s very important that he’s getting a lot of playing time now because this is a rebuild year for the Gnats. Next year everything will slow down for him and he definitely has the ability to put the team on his shoulders.

Somewhere along the draft or FA they desperately need to find a center and left tackle to help him succeed.

Not impressed at all.

Even when he had time, he was mostly just looking to force throws underneath and seemed to have trouble reading the defense. The best things he did last night were scrambling for solid gains after keeping the ball on option plays.

He did nothing through the air. The INT was awful. A horrific 1-5 in the red zone, and the 1 TD required a ridiculous 3rd down 1-handed catch by Golden Tate to give them 1st & goal at the 1.

Oh, and on top of all that, he’s the most fumble-prone player in the NFL.

Even less impressed after seeing his postgame presser. First time I had ever heard him talk and he came off like a mopey teenager. By comparison, Dak comes off like a mature, grown *** man in his pressers.

So glad they drafted him.

Rookies don’t get nicknames......And I don’t call other team’s players by their nicknames. LeSean Mcoy is LeSean Mcoy to me, not “Shady”....

It is hard to judge a QB when his WRs are trash and his oline is getting pushed around all game.

He’s solid. He’s better than Eli at this point. But I don’t think he’d be as good as Eli in his prime or maybe they’ll even out. Even though I don’t think Eli was that good to begin with. He’s no Dak though.

First off, way to early to be coining him "Dimes", but the ESPN announcer was already referring to him as that.

What did you think of him as a QB?

Dallas dline and linebackers really brought the pressure last night. Hit him and knocked him around regularly. Woods laid Jones out when he was "blocking." Even took it easy on him with the hit.

There was a couple of times where the camera was on him when he was on the sidelines and he looked straight up sad.

I don't think he will have the mental toughness to survive in this league, especially if he doesn't learn to protect the football. 8 or 9 fumbles lost already.
He has a long stride.

that's TV and for TV audiences...I think he has the arm, smarts and athleticism...he is going to be a good one if he continues like this. he just doesn't have the weapons or the solid OL he needs in front of him....his recievers outside of engram are very raw and average.

Reminds me of any number of first round QBs that ended up being out of the league in 5 years. Meh.
