I agree there was a lot of open field in front of him with a lot of blokers... But did you REAL expect anything different, if there was a way to screw it up you knew this staff was going to do it.Dude could have run a lot farther than the 45. He had the whole darn sideline people. The blocking was actually setup too.
I don’t think he predetermined it. It’s just that the Vikings finally played another safety in the back, Dak saw it and went immediately to Zeke, even though Zeke was covered, who was the safety outlet.
That's the fng point, isn't it ??With such incompetence running this team do playoffs really matter, there is no way in heck that Garrett could coach this or any team past the first round of the playoffs.
This is why I hate when people complain that we scored too fast in other games. At least if you score, you give yourself a friggin' chance. We move from the 5 all the way down the field by passing then decide we need to run the ball... I can understand running it once to use some clock but at least run it outside for something other than up the middle which had worked 0 times all night... but that second run, WOW, when you run the clock down you need to at least make sure you yourself score...
And the fair catch, yeah par for the course.
No the offensive line didn't open many holes. The Vikings were playing 7 up front and the Cowboys only used 5 to block. Do the math...that doesn't work. The Cowboys could have used a fullback or bring in an extra TE to help, but they didn't. Attempting to run the ball this way was insane, but especially in the 4th quarter. It was so obvious what the Vikings were doing, but the Cowboys never adjusted. I get you have Zeke in the backfield and you want to run him, but sometimes they won't let you. This coaching staff is so damn frustrating. The OL opened up more than enough holes to win.
Elliott did not take them all.
He was being a wiseass.no.
just lost our lead on Philly
What talent? Zeke? Dude is highest paid RB in league and had less than 50 yards. It was tough running - but he was 3rd best RB on the field tonight.
they play hard for him. low expectations indeedI just want to know why Garrett has been our coach for 10 years
The staff screwed it up on the two running calls after Dak was ripping them apart. Game was over at that point. Really unbelievable play calling right there at that moment. Completely killed the drive. Then add the fair catch that Austin was obviously told to take and you've got the icing on the "L". Brilliant coaching.I agree there was a lot of open field in front of him with a lot of blokers... 90 million reasons why.
