Well. According to the stat line, Cousins outplayed Dak. I think both made good plays when they had to and avoided turnovers (I don't count Dak's last play INT as a true INT).

Dak was bad in the first Q, but played well after that.
Thanks for explaining your reason! Thats all I needed to know, "according to the stat line, Cousins outplayed Dak". LOL

Last night would have been a defining moment for Dak. He passed the Cowboys from their own six to the Vikings' 15 at the two minute warning, then Garrett and/or Moore decided to run twice.

The Vikings couldn't cover any of our receivers last night. Had Dallas not outsmarted themselves the entire narrative on Cowboys Zone would be different today.

I watched the game. I think in both respects they were pretty even. You haven't even given a stance, reasoning, or any evidence for your ridicule. So what is your opinion?

I agree. That was a major screw-up.

The fatal flaw of the Cowboys from fans to the front office is the belief that we are 1 all-pro away from winning a super bowl.

Doesn’t it get tiring to blame the QB and DE for our loses? Dak played more than good enough to win.

Zim dared him to beat them.......he damn near pulled it off. No one is saying it but I honestly think last was a major confidence booster for him. The darts he threw ( several +20 yarders and/or 3rd down conversions) and the way we lost at the end will be huge for him going forward.

BTW......don't look now but we seeing the beginning of something really special between he and Cooper.

From the sound of things, it's more about years than dollars. That's where the focus should be. Less years.

Exactly. The team has already tried to meet him in the middle. This agent, and I'm not sure how many time I have to say this, he doesn't negotiate that way. He goes all in to the farthest bridge and he will have his players hold out. Just look at his clients and how he's handled their negotiations. This agent is not that guy. That's the problem here.

I’m still on the Fence about Dak being “The Guy” or a Franchise QB and am not afraid to admit it.

I’m entitled to my own opinion, based on my knowledge of the game and his Performance on the field.
Why should you fear telling it as you see it? You said it best, your opinion is based on your knowledge of the game. It's not your fault you are a football nescient.

It's amazing that when Dak's stats were poor people would say that he won the game and that is all that matters..... than when Dallas loses they point to Dak's stats. The Dak homers need to make up their mind.

Dallas wins- It is all to Dak's credit.

Dallas loses- It is all Garrett's fault. Taking it a step further.... Garrett must being calling the plays when the plays do not work. But when the play calling does work it was all Kellen Moore. The QB has the final say on EVERY play.

What are the Dak homers going to say & do when Dallas finishes 9-7? I guarantee you a lot of QB's would have put up more than 12 points against the Saints. A lot of QB's would not have been outplayed by Sam Darnold & lost to the Jets.

Overall Dak played good.... not great last night. Twice he threw it right too a Vikings player. But a loss is a loss sometimes the Defense is going to play poor. Sometimes it will be the QB.... you are who you are. 5-4 suggests slightly above average to me. 1-4 outside of the mighty NFC East suggests below average.

To be honest, his play over the past 20 games says he is top 7 QB in the NFL in nearly every single statistical category. That alone says he is a franchise QB. You can argue $40mm, $35mm, $33mm, or even $30mm, but you cannot argue that he is top 10 at worst QB...finding top 10 QBs is not easy... Throwing 1st rd draft picks doesn't guarantee it...go ask Philly.

Can you show me a QB who isn't making mistakes? You said ALOT of QB's, so I need like 10 names.

Dak’s stats haven’t been poor the large majority of his career though. Top 10 in the league since entering the NFL actually. And thats including his bad slump where he did suck for like a 12 game stretch.

but at least you tried.

To be fair he's still playing on his rookie deal ;)

Has yet to make a splash winning performance in the playoffs.

And for some reason  JJ has yet to ink him to a new contract.

Maybe you should deliver your concerns to the front office.

If that wasn't a signature win vs Seattle last season (you know, in the playoffs) I dont know what is.
