Is Zeke the back he was the first 3 years?

His caphits arent over the top. next ur hes at 11mil the yr after 13.7 and then 16.5 in 2022 but can be a june 1 cut saving 11.1 mil on the cap. or in 2023 cut him even before june 1 and save 8.3mil. People always look at the total number of deals but never bother to look at the structure of it. Elliots deal will never be a killer for this team

On an alternate note, you seeing this 49ers v. Seahawks game? That defense from the 49ers is unreal. Wish our team was like that. We look like a Pee Wee Football team compared to them...

Yes they are.

9ers are a well coached team. Good players and they play with passion and inspired. This is not your bottom-dwelling team anymore. They are a force to be reckoned with.

He isn’t. Still powerful but the guy is a blob. Lost a step for sure.

Zeke probably ran for more yards to sign Cook's jersey after the game than he ran for us during the game.

Zeke has definitely lost a step.

He has 1300 touches in 3 yrs basically. If you take off the 6game sus. Well just over 3yrs hats basically 400 touches a yr. No Rb is gonna be the same after that type of production.

Hes has the most touches, the most yrds, and near the top of tds since he came into the league.

That’s what people don’t get. They hear the criticism of Zeke, or at least the acknowledgement that he just doesn’t appear to be the same guy, and they trot out “yeah, well, he’s been the rushing leader 3 outta 4 years, and is on pace for X number of yards, etc.”

Well, nobody in the league gets Zeke’s volume of touches, so a large part of his production in terms of cumulative statistical totals is just a product of usage.

in 2016 elliot lead the league in touches and lead the top 10 rushers in avg per rush

2017 susp 6 games was still 10th in rushing and lead the NFL in rushing yrds per game

2018 lead the league in yrds again and touches and was .3 yrds per behind barkley. Who was 2nd in the league in rushing.

What does this tell you? That yes he a heavy load back? Yes but he you give any RB in the nfl the same amount of carries or even just the the math yourself and he is still more productive then any RB in the nfl.

Theres a reason why players and ex players say he's the best Rb in the game while media talk heads who never played the game say mccaffery, Saquon ect. And thats because he runs inside outside and can pick up a blitz better then any rb in the league and he catches too. None of these media darlings can run inside like him.

Zeke was drafted to pair with Romo.
He would've been more effective with Romo because Romo was a serious passing threat.

He's still a good RB
But he's not the same RB as 2016
ANYBODY can see that. He's not even effective outside.

Yeah, that’s patently false.

If Barkley had the extra 43 carries Zeke had he trumps Zeke’s rushing yardage in 2018; as Gurley would have; as would have Joe Mixon.

In 2017 the leading rusher was Kareem Hunt with 1,327 yards on 272 carries in 16 games. Yeah, Zeke averaged 98.3 yards per game, but he also had nearly as many rushes (242) as Hunt did in just 10 games and was averaging just 4.1 YPC. That’s volume.

In 2016, Zeke was a dynamic playmaking running back, which is exactly the point of this thread.

Math doesn’t care about your opinion.

No he’s not as sprite. Still very good back. But missing camp should be a lesson he not soon forget. I don’t care who you are....it matters.
If everyone can miss camp run for 1400 yards and 11 TDS then we need to look into canceling camp.

And it doesn't help that he still gets 20-25 touches in games where we are blowing out the opponent.
