Lamar- Head of the best offense in the league that is breaking statistical barriers
Wilson- Putting up one of the best statically seasons this year despite a crap supporting cast
Dak- Putting up the best statical season of anyone using advanced metrics
Watson- Before last week he was having a hell of a season
Rodgers- No idea why he is being mentioned, maybe because he is the QB of a team that is in a 4 way tie for the 3rd best record? He doesn't belong.
McCaffrey- Breaking RB records

Dak leads the league in Points Added. The last 3 MVP winners (Mahommes, Brady, and Ryan) also led the league in this category. Dak is deserving of the award if his elite play continues.

Lol Booger is crazy, but man is MT damn good. I'm bias since I think it should be a QB, but it is interesting that people discuss McCaffrey and not MT. I guess both players produced with backup QBs, but I'd argue it's much harder for the WR than the RB.

every MVP winner has missed out on winning the SB the same year so I'm cool with him not getting it. Just having him in the conversation is enough. I personally believe it will go to Lamar Jackson or Russel Wilson

If his stats are still like this by season's end, he should be in the conversation.

The schedule take a very sharp turn beginning this week. Keep it up and he and the team certainly will have earned their due credit
But the current stats are based on a very, very uniquely weak pass defense schedule the first 10 games. Almost unprecedentedly weak.
Does NOT mean we and he can't keep rolling---you can't control who you play.

Also he doesn't need to have the best record, he just needs to have a good record(10+ wins) while still being the best statistically. Although having the best record obviously helps.

It's a shame team record is so heavily weighed in MVP discussion.

Not necessarily true. Falcons QB Matt Ryan won the 2016 NFL MVP race (Dak got the Rookie of the Year award), even though the Falcons finished their regular season at 11 - 5, while Dak and the Cowboys finished at 13 - 3.
