He's done it to us once for a terrible network and tv gig, he should do it again to allow the better player the chance to play and stop hindering this offense. He should accept the #2 role behind Jarwin so this team can add another weapon. Sick and tired of the entire narrative of this warrior, this amazing captain. Not saying he's a bad guy cause he's obviously a great human being and does so much outside of football but he ran for the money as fast as anyone else once that BSPN offer came in. He abandoned his team and he's nearing the end anyways. Let the young kid with upside get on the field more. Thanks!

Hey, as much as I want Jarwin on the field, it is not Witten's presence that make Jarwin out. It's the coaches. There is nothing hindering then from putting Jarwin in. Teams sometimes play with 3 TEs. Moreover, Witten is doing lots of things other than catching the ball. He blocks, helps the oline, pulls defenders with him, a great decoy and also can block downfield. At 38, he is still doing nice things. The coaches are the problem, not Witten himself.

The truth is that Jason Witten is a much beloved player... but he needs to go. Look I know you guys love the guy, but he’s hindering the team. Dak looks up to the guy so much he’ll continue to throw his way even if he’s in a wheel chair. But can we all agree that Jarwin is the best option moving forward?

It's pure nonsense to blame Witten for coaching decisions.....If you have a problem with the coaching decisions, blame the coaches.
Personally I have no problem with Witten. Witten is on the field because the Coaches put him there. Dak throws him the ball because he gets open.

Dude is on-pace for something close to 65 catches, 600 yards, and 5 TDs. He doesn't get downfield like he used to, but the guy has been clutch this season, and is averaging more yards-per-game than in his last season before retiring. He's still clearly a better route-runner than Jarwin, and a better blocker. I'm hoping Jarwin can develop some of these traits to become the starter next year, with Witten accepting a valuable #2 position in our offense. A boy can dream.

But the reason Witten continues to start is that he's still the better overall player at this point. The coaches are not crazy. They are developing a much less developed player (Jarwin) behind a Hall-of-Famer who's still getting it done.
