According to the 105.3 the fan post game show.

I’m not sure of their source.

Fair enough, but color me skeptical.

I don't see much more more than an 8% chance to win if we go for it.

Convert 4th and 7 - maybe 15% chance? Assume the TD thereafter. 15% to get even for a 50-50 chance to win.

Look at it this way. The numbers say. You have a better chance of picking up the 7 yards on that one play. And then forcing OT.

Than you do of getting the ball back and then driving the entire length of the field again and scoring a TD to win in regulation.

Yes 4th and 7 is hard to pick up.

It’s also hard to drive the length of the field against the best defense in the league.

Picking up the 4th and 7 gets you the tie. Half a win.

Kicking the FG and driving the field gets you the win.

P(4th and 7) > 2*P(Kicking the FG * Driving for a TD)?

I don't think so.

The numbers are saying it’s less likely you drive the length of the field again and score a TD. Rather than pick up the 7 yards in one play.

And what do you know. The numbers were right.

plus if they don't make it, they have the Pats pinned down where you might get the ball back with good field position with a stop, you could get a safety, a turnover, etc

ha, who am I kidding, they ain't getting any turnovers

You’re right though. Instead the cowboys get the ball back on their 8 yard line and have to drive 92 yards.

Damn near impossible to do against the pats.

We were facing the No. 1 defense and had not done much against it all day. We were in a position where a touchdown would have tied the game, but a field goal still leaves us in need of a touchdown. If the field goal had put us within a field goal, the decision makes sense. But as is, it left us needing to reach the end zone anyway in order not to lose.

I misread it at first too, that's Dak taking blame himself. That's not Jerry speaking

Dak wasn’t great today, especially pre-gloves, than again neither was the GOAT, weather was horrendous. However, Dak and this offense gets zero help from it’s defense and even more so special teams. They almost never get a short field. Even worse, this inept coaching staff is simply embarrassing namely the head coach and Keith O’Quinn. No words to describe how utterly awful they are.
