Then what is it?

I'm not playing victim. I'm pointing out your ad hominem to show the weakness of your argument. What else am I supposed to say to that?

Calling you close minded directly addresses my perception for how your argument is coming across. It’s not ad hominem. It’s directed at what I perceive your lack of desire or willingness to take any value out of analytical probabilities when it relates to football.

You are playing the victim. You immediately took me
Saying you’re being close minded as a personal attack and then turned it around and painted it as weakness on my part.

When in reality it was me telling you that you’re coming across as close minded because you aren’t interested in what the information has to offer.

You’re just twisting words. You’ve been arguing all through this thread that they’re just stats that offer no predictive value. When the reality is they are stats that are analyzed to generate probabilities which provide predictive value. So they are not just stats.

Yeah. They're just stats.

The combination of your word twisting, lying and playing the victim over being called “closed minded” makes having a discussion with you pointless.

Lol. Do you think I'm feeling victimized? You don't know me very well. I like to debate. In a debate, the argument speaks for itself. When someone starts in with ad hominem they've lost the argument and I point it out. That's all.

Btw- what did I lie about?

I pointed out your clear lie. And again calling somebody close minded about a topic isn’t a personal
Attack. So again stop playing the victim.

I’m done with this debate. It’s going nowhere. Goodbye.

And for the last time. The entire argument in the first
Place is that a Coach should want as much information as possible to make informed decisions. It’s laughable anyone would disagree with that.

Actually, I asked you why they should use analytics and you've been struggling to show their value. Just because you believe in them doesn't make them valuable.

Doesn’t make them invaluable.

You've not shown their value. Seriously, what don't you get here? Your argument is essentially- data is valuable, analytics is data, analytics is valuable. You've yet to show any correlation between analytics and football success. You cited 3 coaches and one of them (the best one) essentially said what I've been saying this whole time- it's trivial.

Dude, you can't victimize me. Also, not agreeing with your assertions doesn't make me close minded, it makes me a freethinker (especially as regards this topic).

You attempted to ascribe another posters words to me and then accused me of lying when I cleared that up for you. If that's all you got then I see why you're running away.

Actually you’re mischaracterizing the entire argument I’ve been making. About how a coach should
Want as much information as possible to make a decision. You still don’t grasp that simple
Concept.

You’re right I didn’t victimize you. You played the victim. Two different things entirely. Shame you don’t understand that either.

lol “running away”.

Not wanting to continue a discussion that’s gotten nowhere in all this time, isn’t running away.

it’s more like, me using all the information available to me, to make the decision that discussing it further with you is pointless.

you know. I’m just taking in all the information possible to come to that conclusion.

I'm not close minded to them. I understand them and think they're trivial. Just like Belichick. ;)

And just like Garret. We all know how
Good his results have been. I’m Glad he is turning over every stone possible.

I grasp it. I just have a qualifier- a coach should want as much valuable information as possible. Information on it's own is only valuable if it's relevant.

You’re right I didn’t victimize you. You played the victim. Two different things entirely. Shame you don’t understand that either.

Pointing out your poor debate skills isn't being a victim. Try again.

Complaining about an ad hominem that never happened is playing the victim though. It’s textbook victim behavior.

I've lost count of how many times you said you were done.

Another one bites the dust. All this back and forth and you still can't cite any evidence of football analytics value.

He sure has developed that 4th round project into a good QB. Gotta give him props for that.

Yeah I’ve hung around longer than I liked.

although it’s hard to see how you could equate me sticking around longer than I intended to, as me
“Running away”. Actually, it’s a sign of me
Doing the exact opposite of running away.

As for the rest of your post. That’s your opinion. You’re free to it. Just like I’m free to think it’s an asinine opinion. I’ve cited plenty of examples
As to how it could be valuable. You choose
To think otherwise.

it is what it is.

Lol... omg... lol "Hey, this guy Belichick trusts used to trade bonds! Kraft loves analytics! Hey look, Belichick did a thing that analytics people like... must be a secret devotee!"

That's great. Good stuff. Hope you feel validated.
